  • West is just pissed cuz Kobe passed him!

  • Hands down LeBron the best in the nba

  • People talking about Kobe is one of the greatest scores. Hell no because he shoots a 100 shots and just end up with 50 points who can't do that?

  • WOW. Jerry West saying this and Scottie Pippen saying what he said...what the hell is wrong with these people? Are they jealous because they are or once was in the shadows?

  • Kobe is a great offensive player, but lebron can play any position on the court. Can kobe play as good defense as lebron?

  • Jerry west > ignorant kobe c riders

  • @playlifevr4

    MJ>Jerry west

    MJ has recently said kobe is the best player to play since him.

  • fucking dumass aint know shit he puts lebron in front of MJ,, no sense ... fuck this thought, its all kobe 5 championships,1 mvp,4 tims all start mvp come on that tells you everythin..

  • @MrLakshitha042293 You do know who West is right? He is the guy on the logo of the NBA, and he was also a former Laker. West is also one of the greatest guards to play this game. Also learn to spell please.

  • Kobe 61 points 2 assists 5 rebounds

    Lebron 45 points 10 assists 11 rebounds

    Which one would you rather pick?

  • @Konphetty u do know that scoring is the hardest out of those 3.......

  • @Konphetty Lebron had a much better game! WTF is 2 assists?

  • @Konphetty 61 points, because points win you games, as simple as that.

  • @Konphetty yeah no shit. that argument drives me crazy. i ignore the lebron vs jordan argument.

  • Ok Lebron dickriders and kobe haters: if you had one game and you had to win it and it depended on your life tomorrow. would you still pick LeBron?

  • @Guitarherotimmydude yup rather than kobe going 6/24

  • @06qwert06 AS much as I like Kobe mroe than Lebron. You absolutley right

  • @Guitarherotimmydude HELL FUCKING YES! he would get a triple double

  • why the hell jerry west and magic johnson are saying that lebron is better than kobe even though kobe won 5 titles for their team I just don't get it

  • @thejohhny69 because they aren't biased? they are being honest as great players themselves. I love the sixers but I'm not gonna say Iguodala is better than LeBron

  • how can anyone compare kobe to Lebron. Of course lebron has a game, he is one of the best scorers and a great passer, probably a best athlete looking overall. That is why he is the top 2-5 players in the nba today. But noone can compare Kobe`s basketball IQ, Lebron is like a 12 year old boy compared to Kobe in that aspect. And the thing that kobe has and Lebron doesn`t are the most important qualities to win a championship. You have born winners and you have ˝lebrons˝

  • @gl33sta Well of course Kobe has a better IQ than Lebron besides the fact of the age difference of 32 and 26, and besides Kobe has been surrounded with great players his whole career, a great coach, and overall a way better team, until now.

  • Respect Jerry West's opinion because his opinion is worth way more than all u Kobe nutt huggers put together. Oh yeah i almost forgot he's responsible for Kobe being a Laker so you know for a fact that he's speaking from the heart he's not some biased retard like most of you!

  • In the past 2 yrs LeBron has had a higher percentage from the 3 point line than Kobe n in the past 3 yrs Kobe has shot the ball more times than LeBron has BUT LeBron still manages still outscore Kobe by a lot of points. Not to mention LeBron is better at assisting his team n getting rebounds n his D is superior to Kobe's as well.

  • Athletically Lebron may have passed Kobe. But I would still pick Kobe still over Lebron.

  • he said this to rile him up and it worked.

  • If you want efficiency, you get lebron james. If you want accolades you take Kobe.

  • I have only one word to say to jerry west...WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG

  • @fatlineman64 my bad i kinda fucked up on tat comment but in a way im kinda right, u dnt average 5 assists becuz ur lucky or for the hell of it, u get assists becuz u wanna get ur team involved, but at the same time if u hav a player with the scoring talents of kobe hes gonna be selfish and take shots becuz he has a right to take shots, i did contradict myself a bit, but u cant deny im rite

  • jerry west has alzheimers...lebron is a kid in a mans body ..lebron is years away frm kobe...lebron is THE GREATEST NOTHING ever..

  • Jerry west Restated this when Kobe won his 2nd Finals MVP during the finals against the boston celtics

  • kobe isnt selfish

    u dnt average 5 assists per game and are selfish

    and he has a reason to be selfish, hes one of the greatest scoring threats in the history of the nba and if u dnt know tat then u dnt know basketball

    and if u dnt believe kobes the 2nd greatest scoring guard of all time look up the numerousrecords he holds and his position on the all time scoing list

  • @ijusttellthetruth1 wow u contradicted urself there first u say hes not selfish than u say he has a reason to be selfish hows tht wrk?

  • *smh* Magic shot 57.3% on WAY less shot attempts. Wow. How many rbs did Magic *average* for the Finals? Oh yeah, less than Kareem. Points? Same thing. Can you explain why Kareem led him in efficiency rating and win shares? And tell me why Magic Johnson, on the issue of why he didn't want to "be the man" and go play with the pre-MJ Bulls, said "The only reason I came out was to play with Kareem and the Lakers." ....LOL!

    I guess your illness is incurable. This was fun though.

  • hes on crack now

  • the logo is turning senile, getting too old.

  • Lebron is better, point blank.

  • last time i check when dirk had the best record they got eliminated in the first against the 8th seed until he got kidd, chandler, marion, heywood. I like dirk but kobe has more rings without shaq (2) then your whole franchise history

  • hey kobe, tell me how my dirk taste

  • @bferg531 dirk 1 ring kobe 5 rings, I think dirk would be doing the ass tasting.

  • Lebron is constantly the biggest guy on his team, while kobe not too big is surrounded by giants.

  • "HAS A CHANCE" keys words l2listen

  • Is Jerry west serious? Is he on drugs or something? Best player of all time, yeah right.

  • jerry west is a dumb ass couldnt believe he said that he is no longer one of my fav kobe is better then lebron dumb bitch

  • 1. stop necking lebron

    2. Kobe did not earn a single ring it he had , shaq , gasol , and bynum . if cleaveland had the finicaicial aid lebronw ould have been had a ring.

    3. no one saying kobe wack but lebron is better all around

  • @Johnsssx

    But is Gasol a hall of famer ? Lebron had another hall of famer and an all star and still could'nt find a way to win . Yea Lebron's more of the complete player but he can't step up when his team needs him the most . And yea i actually like Lebron cause he actually has a personality unlike Wade but he just needs to stop bailing out on his team and find a way to become great and not good !

  • @Johnsssx jordan had pippen nuff said. a star player need teamates around them. dont be ignorant

  • @knucklez92

    Pippen was great but he didn't have the impact of a prime Shaq.If Jordan played with a dominant big man, lets say Shaq, there's no doubt in my mind that he would have won a ring every year...LTIERALLY EVERY YEAR!

  • @Kingjd87 And there NO way MJ would put up those numbers or anything close to that with Shaq playing with him

  • @Johnsssx

    LMAO. Kobe didnt earn a single ring? So if lebron won this year, He would of earned right? with wade and bosh on his team? The guy played like wades side kick in the finals. GTFO.

  • Jerry is taking that comment back

  • Jerry West is just mad cuz Kobe surpassed him as the second best shooting guard of all-time nd also he surpassed him when it comes to All-Time Lakers list...I don't see how West's nickname is Mr. Clutch when he went to the finals 10 times and won one time lol btw he had Elgin Baylor and Wilt Chamberlain

  • @lilzack24 hey dick head did you hear him LeBron can play 4 fucking positions he can play the two guards and the two forwards, Kobe can't do that, he can only play Shooting Guard so shut up Lebron is too big, too strong, too good.

  • @kidkhalifa96 Kobe can actually play 3 positions (PG, SG, and SF) and Lebron can play those 3 positions aswell we all know Lebron cannot play the Power forward position...There is no way can guard Amare, KG, Gasol, Alridge etc and he has NO post game at all...Just because u have the size don't mean u can play PF.

  • @kidkhalifa96 ok lebron is too big to strong too good so where is his ring to back up his shit?...or does he need to add another all star player or switch to another team to try and get one lol

  • @cuzzigothigh Every player that has won a ring has had a supporting cast, this is LeBron's first year with a whole new team, added to that two superstars with it, he was doing it alone in Cleveland, a ring doesnt prove that your the best in the business either it proves your a champ, LeBron ins't a champ, but he's done so much it just looks to me like he is a champ back to back MVP's , all star since coming into the league defensive player 7 times running, he's hall of fame material.

  • @kidkhalifa96 His "whole new team", that consists of a second "top 5 best in the league" (Wade) and another all-star (Bosh; top 15 player) threw a pep-rally, said they were arguably the best trio in NBA history and they'd win 7 championships. Of the 3, LeBron did the worst in the Finals, including averaging 3 ppg in the 4th quarter for the whole series, and his team lost. "Back to back MVPs" doesn't impress me (Steve Nash anyone?); back to back Finals MVPs does, though. Jordan, Hakeem...Kobe.

  • @gmn545 back to back regualr season MVP's doesnt impress you, he was the best player back to back it doesnt impress you.? LeBron avg on a basis in the first three rounds 10 points in the fourth quarter alone and he still pulled off a triple double, when a player pulls off a triple double thats a milestone, but when lebron does it he gets criticized i dont get, im pretty sure lebron doest get it either and kobe the "back to back MVP" got SWEPT

  • @kidkhalifa96 Being the most valuable player for your team doesn't make you the best player in the NBA. Steve Nash was not better than Kobe or LeBron from '05-'06, and if you disagree you're a moron. On the biggest stage in the league (Finals) LeBron averaged 3 ppg in the 4th quarter and went 3-11 FG (8 points!) in crucial game 4. That was, on record, the worst performance for a player in the league's top 5 in ppg since Max Zaslofsky in 1951 - when there was no shot clock. LOL!

  • @kidkhalifa96 And Kobe did get swept...so what? LeBron got swept in the Finals. Jordan got swept out of the first round in '86. Duncan got swept in the 2010 semis. Magic got swept in the '89 Finals. Shaq got swept in the '95 Finals. Who gives a shit? lol

  • @gmn545 im laughing so hard right now lebron stills scored like 100 fourth quarter points in the first THREE series', just becasue he had two bad games and in one having a triple double, doesnt mean he's bad stop being a kobe dick rider, cause kobes pedophile ass got swept and is in a retirement home

  • @kidkhalifa96 Spoken like a true LeBron nut-hugger. lol The first 3 series' mean NOTHING if you play like a scared lil puppy in the FINALS - the biggest stage in the league. Funny how his "two bad games" came at the most crucial time for his team lol. And how is Kobe a pedophile? Do you know what that word means? LOL! That girl was 19; he was 26. The "he got swept" argument is as weak as LeBron's game 4. Jordan, Shaq, Duncan, AND LeBron have all been swept before, you idiot. Fall back, kid.

  • @gmn545 kobe has 14 playoff games where he's scored under 10 points. youre talking as if lebron had the worst finals performance ever. he had an OKAY performance, it wasnt bad and it wasnt great. and since youre talking about the biggest stage... finals of 2010 game 7, kobe goes 6 for 24! 0-6 from 3 point land. but you see kobe is still a great player. with that fact you can't possible judge a player based on 1 game or an entire series. 1st year together as a team, made the finals.. remarkable.

  • @peco017 And how many of those playoff games came when he was a bench player getting limited minutes? lol And LeBron DID have the worst performance for a "top-5 in the PPG" player, since Knicks player Max Zaslofsky in 1951; that's a fact. And yeah Kobe missed 18 shots (and still led all players in scoring with 23 points) in 2010; Dirk also missed 18 shots this year in game 6. Both still won Finals MVP. And this isn't 1 game; LeBron breaks down consistently in big games (for the last 3 years).

  • @gmn545 explain to me how he "broke down" please? dont get me wrong, he played like a bum when he had those 8 points. but . I watched every single game. Lebron didn't "break down" in the series.would mean he would continue to shoot a horrible fg%, get turnovers, and ect. His flaw in the series was that when faced with double teams or help defense, he just took what the defense gave him and passed out and let his teammates finish making the play. Like i said he didnt play bad. he played OKAY

  • @peco017 LBJ:

    2009 crucial game 4 vs ORL - 44.8% FG, 77.8% FT, 8 TO

    2009 game 6 (elimation game): 40% FG, 63.6% FT, 3 TO

    2010 crucial game 4 vs BOS - 38.9% FG, 0-5 3PT, 72.7% FT, 7 TO

    2010 game 5 vs BOS - 21.4% FG, 0-4 3PT, 75% FT, 3 TO

    2010 (elimination) game 6 vs BOS - 38.1% FG, 75.0% FT, 9 TO (wow)

    2011 game 4 vs DAL - 27.3% FG, 0-3 3PT, 50% FT 4 TO

    2011 game 5 vs DAL - 42.1% FG, 0-4 3PT, 50% FT, 4 TO

    ..that's what I mean by him consistently breaking down in big games.

  • @gmn545 hey good idea, show his worst games ever

  • @dolphinfootball22 Not sure if those are his worst games ever, but if they are, all of them coming while deep in the playoffs doesn't speak well of him.

  • @gmn545

    kobe is terible to so dont talki shit remember game 7 of the 2010 finals?the refs and teammates saved his ass and the quiting job vs suns in game 7 i can go on and on

  • @lbj6mj23 Yeah I remember that game. Kobe missed the same amount of shots as Dirk did this year in the Finals (game 6). Difference between Kobe & Dirk and LeBron...the first two can have bad shooting games, yet still do whatever is needed to get the win. For Kobe, it was focusing on the key stat category that defined that series (rebounding!), pulling down 15 rebs. Both Kobe and Dirk still won Finals MVP...how many of those does LeBron have?....

  • @gmn545

    ye yeah sure but who gets more rb and ast?james lol finals mvp first off all its about the team to win the finals kobe wouldnt do shit if he would be in cleveland so dont give me that crapy ring argument is kobe a beter player then lebron? no, now wade is beter then kobe to just facts kobe is geting older and james is the best player since 2007

  • @lbj6mj23 "gets more rb and ast" but did they have impact on the outcome of the game? His triple double in game 5 had practically ZERO impact on the game itself. He averaged 3 ppg in the 4th quarter. You can't discard rings, because it's what these players are all playing for! LeBron had a top-3 player in Wade, another All-Star (Bosh), & he played the worst out of all three in the Finals. LeBron didn't deliever and his team lost. There's no more excuses for LeBron, so don't bring up cleveland.

  • @gmn545 Just like at the 2004 NBA Finals for Kobe, horrific. Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals.

  • @crowofdebt He's not God. He's gonna have bad games. Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, Kobe missed 18 shots - the SAME number of misses that the 2011 NBA Finals MVP (Dirk) had, yet nobody gives a shit. LeBron, on the other hand, has choked for the last 3 STRAIGHT years. There is no more excuses to be made for him, now that he had a MUCH better supporting cast than he did in Cleveland and he STILL lost.

  • @gmn545 LOL same shit happened when Kobe and the Lakers choked a 3-1 lead over PHX. During Game 7 Kobe didn't do shoot? Everyone said the same thing...

  • @crowofdebt Pheonix? You mean when Kobe had Kwame Brown, Smush Parker, Chris Mihm and (then-"Mr. Inconsistent") Odom in the STARTING lineup? Kobe carrying that sorry team into the playoffs - being the league's leading scorer (twice!) - and making it a 7 game series was a miracle in and of itself lol. Game 7 of that series, Kobe had 24 points (50% FG). But one guy can't beat 5 players. LeBron at least had another All-Star (Mo Williams) and All-Defensive Team player (Varejao) in Cleveland.

  • @gmn545 Mo Williams wasn't even selected as an all star at first, he had to be picked up because of injuries. Let's not even say Mo Williams is an all-star because look what the man has does now without LeBron, just bitch and complain.

    Odom was better in the past then he is now..

    But even with your analysis you should be able to agree that 3 on 5 doesn't win either.

  • @crowofdebt "look what the man has does now without LeBron" What did Scottie Pippen do after leaving the Bulls for the Rockets? Did that discredit him? I didn't think so.

    Odom is Sixth Man now...before he was "Mr. Inconsistent". Look at his PER if you don't believe me.

    And in my analysis, with 2 of those 3 being in the top 3 best players in the league...that should be enough to carry a team of role players to a ring. Kobe & Shaq did it.

  • @gmn545 I'm done. It's a different era. You think Kobe and Shaq would beat these teams now days which have stacked rosters? If teams were like in the 2000 era, we wouldn't worry about losing a full season this year.

  • @crowofdebt You're joking right? Of course Kobe and Shaq would beat these teams. The early 2ks Lakers squad was a problem because if you double teamed one, the other would kill you. Not to mention solid role players who, while not great players themselves, knew their specific job and played it well. It was dumbass LeBron who (at the pre-season pep rally) said, "Once the game starts, it's gonna be easy." He clearly thought 3 players were good enough to win a ring.

  • @gmn545

    You only pointed out the bad games he had

    That's pretty biased , I've never seen Kobe played well in the finals except the Orlando series. You only mentioned LeBron's bad games. How about kobe , he versus boston 08 and 10 and against the mavs 11.

  • @dizzyy2k8 I pointed out the most crucial games...and the numbers speak for themselves on how he played, when it mattered the most. As to your statement, "I've never seen Kobe played well in the finals except the Orlando series"...do you realize Orlando was the # 1 defensive team in the NBA that year, with the DPOY (Howard) on it?!

  • @gmn545

    But! LeBron averaged 35 8 8 against orlando. He still played better than kobe and he played better against celtics in 2008 playoffs. Kobe always had the better team until now , How about LeBron against celtics and bulls this past playoffs? He is clutch actually he has higher fg % than kobe in last "5" minutes according to stats ( can't deny this ). But yea i agree that he doesnt have the clutchness like jordan or nowitzki has.he's only 26 and he'll win rings eventually. 3 - 5 rings. =)

  • @dizzyy2k8 LeBron did more (stats-wise) against Orlando, but Kobe's play led him to a ring and Finals MVP. Yes, Kobe's team has (sometimes) been better, yet LeBron got his "better teammates" wish this past year and he played the worst out of the big 3 on the biggest stage in the league (Finals). The last "5" minutes LBJ 3% better on FAR fewer attempts; Kobe also is at 49.8 points in the last "5" and LBJ is at 45.1 points (can't deny this). LeBron may win a ring...or end up like Charles Barkley.

  • @gmn545

    I saw this on ESPN. LeBron vs Kobe Clutch.

    Kobe vs LeBron

    Per: 37.6 - 47.2

    Pts/40: 44.5 - 48.1

    Fg%: 43 % - 45 %

    Reb/40: 4.3 - 10.9

    Ast/40: 4.3 - 5.6

    He shot very poor against the finals versus mavs , he didn't choked. Give credits to the mavs defense especially marion and chandler. LeBron did what the defense gave him and that's the result. He dont need to hold the ball like in cleveland cause he has more help. Kobe was the best 03 - 08 but LeBron is really the best now.

  • @dizzyy2k8 (NBA TV) Since 2006-07, last 10 seconds of 4th qtr/OT, tied or down 1-3:

    LeBron: FG - 9/41 (22.0%); 3PT - 1/21 (4.8%); FT- 12/15 (80.0%); total pts: 31

    Kobe: FG - 13/37 (35.1%); 3PT - 4/16 (25.0%); FT -7/11 (63.6%); total pts: 37

    LeBron did choke. He disappeared in 4th quarters; don't deny it. The last "top-5 in ppg" player to score in single digits (8 points) in the Finals was Max Zaslofsky in 1951, before there was a shot clock. LOL! MJ/Kobe have killer instinct; LBJ doesn't.

  • @gmn545 i dont want to defend lebron after seeing him play in this years finals..but come on-kobe's play wasnt the key for the lakers,lebron played way better aganist orlando..it was about the lakers' big men vs howard..howard had almost 25 ppg on %70+ shooting vs orlando,and 18 ppg on %45 vs the lakers..in 09 it wasnt about kobe,lebron could easily defeat the magic team if he was on the lakers..kobe could go 11-31 and get bailed out,lebron didnt have a choice like that(im only talking about 09)

  • @netcap001 "Kobe's play wasnt the key for the lakers"... He led the Lakers in points AND assists, player efficiency rating, and win shares for the entire 2009 playoffs. "it was about lakers' big men" Gasol got 18.6 ppg on 61.4% FG, which is indeed significant; Bynum didn't do much of anything. And "easily defeat"? Triangle offense, remember? Kobe actually knows how to play off the ball; LeBron doesn't. His USG% went from 36.4 ('09) to 26.9 ('11)...and how did he do again in this year's finals?

  • @gmn545 so what? win shares?gasol led the lakers in win shares in 2010 playoffs and finals.

    please explain howards big drop vs the lakers...howard=25 ppg on %75 vs cleveland...18 ppg on %45 vs the lakers..bynum&gasol contained howard,you think kobe could win dwight dropping 25 ppg on %75 a game on the lakers??kobe has nothing to do with the triangle offense,triangle offense doesnt include jacking up a ton of pathetic shots..watch the old bulls..

  • @netcap001 "Kobe has nothing to do with the triangle offense" You do know the TRIANGLE involves the low post player with the PERIMETER player(s), making more ball movement necessary, right?...Kobe can't just dominate the ball for 18 seconds of the shot clock (like a former Cavs captain I know). Again, Kobe knows how to play off the ball. When LeBron doesn't dominate the ball, he disappears in an offensive scheme (4th quarters of '11 Finals). As for win shares, we were talking about 2009 vs ORL.

  • @gmn545 kobe doesnt move without the ball that well. terrible compared to jordan.. c'mon,as a lakers fan,havent you seen bryant holding the ball way too much?despite dribbling way too much at times,lebron is better at creating good shots-this is why he had a higher %3pt than kobe in 2009-2010,even though kobe is a superior shooter.

  • @netcap001 "compared to jordan" That applies to every SG. Kobe's USG% being so high comes from wanting the ball near the trailing end of the shot clock; LeBron wants the ball the first 18 seconds, and then he'll either drive and attack the rim or drive and dish w/ 4 sec left (a contributing factor to why his APG is as high as it is). LeBron can create good shots due to his physique; he's like a freight train who guys will either foul (compare Kobe and Lebron's FTAs!) or you'll move out the way.

  • @gmn545 remind me,what did bryant do in 04 with payton&malone&shaq?%38 vs the pistons in the finals?getting outscored by 20 points by his matchup in a crucial game?going 7-21 in the last game?going 7-21 in the 2001 finals?7-22 in the 08 finals and getting blown out by 30+ points?you are not a lakers fan-you are a bryant fan.

  • @netcap001 In 2004, Kobe shot jacked the team out of wins, I know that. He reacted immaturely due to growing tired of hearing he was second fiddle, even after it was him who averaged 33 pts (51% FG) 7 reb, 7 ast vs #1 defensive team (Spurs) in 2001 WCF and LED the team in win shares. Giving props where it's due doesn't make me a "bryant fan". Michael Jordan has publicly stated (twice!) that Kobe is better than LeBron. Does that make him a Kobe fan? Didn't think so.

  • @gmn545 #1 defensive team?hey,arent kobe fans the ones who always question shaq's or jordan's matchups?kobe faced washed up porter,ferry and antonio daniels in 2001. and the all-defensive guard of the spurs(i think anderson was his name) did not play. shaq was better than kobe in 02 vs kings and 00 vs blazers-and those were probably the best teams they faced. shaq regularly outscored kobe despite taking less shots(regular season)..in 2001,they didnt face a great team.

  • @netcap001 That wouldn't include me. I don't question Jordan's matchups, considering he faced 4 DPOY guards in his career. Shaq's matchups I do question (Vlade, Jason Collins, Aaron Williams, etc). Shaq for the majority of the 3-peat was indeed the key factor for the team. And I can see Shaq scoring more on "taking less shots" considering the vast majority of Shaq's shots were near the basket, plus a plethora of more FTAs. Yet, when Shaq would foul out in big games, who came to save the day?

  • @gmn545 well,arent you the one who talked about the average victory margin of the cavs?the average victory margin of the lakers was well over 10+ ppg in 01 as far as i know. and you questioned shaq's matchups-what about kobe's?eric snow?kerry kittles? 34 year old reggie miller outplayed bryant in the 00 finals. croshere also did. we can argue 01 and 02,but in 00 bryant was definitely a sidekick. it could have been a lakers sweep vs portland if bryant played like he played vs the spurs in 01.

  • @netcap001 When did I bring up "average victory margin"??? And Reggie had to score more than Kobe (being the main scoring option for his team!). As for Kobe's matchups in the playoffs, you forgot Bruce Bowen (SAS), Scottie Pippen and Ruben Patterson (POR), Ron Artest and Shane Battier (HOU), etc. What great defensive center (other than 35 year old Mutombo) did Shaq face again? Rik Smits? Greg Ostertag? 34-36 year old Robinson?

  • @gmn545 you arent telling the whole story-mutombo was 35 years old?how old was scottie pippen in 00 and 02??he was 34 in 00,and he wasnt himself after he had that injury in 98. im talking about 00-02. who did kobe face?eric snow?kittles?now im not tryin to make a comparison,but you brought up jordan first:get this,jordan scored 40+ 3 times vs kittles during his washington comeback,and averaged 36.6 ppg vs kittles in 98..34 year old reggie miller and 34-36 year old scottie pippen?give me a break

  • @gmn545 ......are u questioning the defense of david robinson in his last yrs?....and are you implying that ANYONE played shaq 1 on 1?....

    robinson= #1 in playoff defensive rating in 98.99,00,and 01....

    reg.season defensive rating...

    robinson was #1 in 99 and 00.....#2 in 01 and 02.....and #3 in 2003,his final yr.......and im supposed to believe he wasnt good defensive because it was his last few yrs?.....and bball is about team defense

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Ahhhh it's the YT kobe-hating troll, shaqpop. How've you been?

  • @gmn545 ....ive been good....and i bring the facts....

    kobe= shot 3-7 in 4th quarter in game 7 vs blazers.....shaq shot 3-3

    kobe= shot 1-8 in 4th quarter in game 6 of 00 finals.....shaq shot 6-6

    kobe had 0 fgas in the 4th quarter and overtime of game 7 vs 2002 kings.....shaq led all scorers with 35 pts....

    kobe is 0-5 the last 3 playoffs in gamewinners......he usually wins those games when teammates save his ass on putbacks

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Yeah...and who led the Lakers in win shares for the 2001 playoff run, while Shaq was there? And who called Kobe "the best player in the league, by far" following his 45 pts / 10 reb game against the def. rating #1 Spurs in the WCF? Shaq. But I guess he was just being nice, huh?

  • @gmn545 it goes both ways-if i remember correctly,kobe said "shaq is the most dominant player,he cannot be stopped 1 on 1" i think it was after one of the finals games in 02

  • @netcap001 Can you cite that quote of Kobe's? I can cite Shaq's easily.

  • @gmn545 ....lmaooo....the 2001 spurs?....u know who the starters were?....

    robinson/duncan= shaqs territory....

    antonio daniels.....old terry porter...and danny ferry!!!....lmaooo.....NO PARKER....NO GINOBILI....NO BOWEN....derek anderson a season ending injury....

    also,spurs were zoning shaq.....am i supposed to be impressed with kobe lighting up daniels,ferry and old man porter?......remember.....those were the STARTERS that series....lmaoooo

  • @shaqpopcorn34 And I suppose you think the only player in Kobe's face as he drove the lane was either "daniels, porter, and ferry" and that NONE of the bigs (Robinson and Duncan) were there in the paint waiting for him on help defense? LOL!

  • @gmn545 ....are u really impressed with kobe in that series?.....

    he shot 19-35 in game 1.....thats a TON of shots....

    45 pts on 35 fgas?....

    shaq= 35 fgas when he had a career high 61 pts.....while kobe got 45 pts on the same # of shots vs cupcakes.....his ppg and fg% decreased dramatically vs the 2002 spurs when they had bowen

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Yeah 45 points on 35 fgas...exactly like Jordan's game 6 vs Utah in '98. LOL! I respect those performances a bit more than say, 40+ points on like 20+ FTAs (a la Dwyane Wade). And it was Shaq who was impressed, calling Kobe the "best player in the league, by far".

  • @gmn545 ....lmaoo....did jordan have prime shaquille o'neal on his team in game 6 of the 1998 finals when he had 45 pts on 35 fgas?....no he did not...if he did he wouldnt have taken 35 fgas...and mike was the defensive focal point that series,unlike kobe...

    speaking of kobe,he was an allstar in 98 and got his ass kicked by the 98 jazz.....shaq got the blame,even despite 31.8 ppg that series.....vintage kobe.....play like shit and watch teammates get the blame....kinda like this yr with gasol

  • @shaqpopcorn34 No, he didn't. He had the best rebounder in the league (Rodman, who also guarded Utah's best player) and one of the best perimeter players in the league (Pippen), whose offensive contribution and rebounding was significant as well. So he didn't care about taking 35 shots. And Mike was the defensive focal point...on Byron Russell? I would think you'd credit Rodman's defense (and for getting into Malone's) head a bit more than giving all the credit to MJ.

  • @gmn545 ...lmaoo...

    pippen= 15.7 ppg on .410% vs 1998 jazz....mike was so lucky to have scottie...lmaoooo

    and rodman?....he averaged 8.3 rpg that series....his defense on malone?...

    malone= 25.0 ppg on .504%.....keep trying...

    mike was successful while scoring....same with shaq....

    shaq has 3 career playoff runs with 20+ fgas per game.....00,01,and 02....all 3 ended in titles.....when he didnt take 20+ fgas per game in 2003 the 3-peat ended....while kobe jacked up 26.5 fgas to lose it

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Yeah he was lucky to have Scottie, particularly on defense and when MJ wasn't on the floor. Rodman? 15 reb per game (reg season; led league) and look at his rpg in the playoffs leading up to (i.e. getting them to) the Finals.

  • @gmn545 ...rodmans rbs leading up to the finals?....u were talking about mikes game 6 vs utah....talked about rodman guarding malone...the first 3 rounds have nothing to do with utah and malone....and scottie pippen is no shaq....shaq carried kobes ass to 3 titles

    shaq= 29.9 ppg 14.5 rpg in 58 playoff games during the 3-peat...shaq did that from 00-02 while winning 12 straight series

    and if u say he played cupcakes,then thank you...thanks for admitting everybody had cupcake centers but kobe

  • @shaqpopcorn34 I brought up game 6 vs Utah because you brought up FGAs of Kobe during his 45 pt/ 10 reb performance against San Antonio. The whole playoff run is significant, imo, as you won't be at the next step without the previous one. And Shaq didn't "carry" Kobe in '01 and '02; that's bullshit. Highly significant, no doubt. But if Kobe's leading them in win shares for '01 playoff run - when they were most dominant (15-1) - you can't say Shaq carried him.

  • @gmn545 .....i CAN say shaq carried them.....and as for the 2001 spurs....check this ouit...

    2-21-01....lakers AT spurs....NO KOBE...

    LAKERS WON 101-99 IN SAN ANTONIO.....shaq took 17 fgas without kobe!!!!....lakers win without kobe....

    3-9-02....spurs AT lakers...kobe is back....

    LAKERS LOSE 93-89 IN L.A....kobe took 33 fgas with 2 assists!!!!!....lakers 89 pts and it was an overtime game!!

    0 FGAS VS SPURS IN FEBRUARY,LAKERS SCORE 101.......33 FGAS VS SPURS IN MARCH,LAKERS SCORE 93 IN OT

  • @shaqpopcorn34 That's nice. Who led the Lakers in win shares for '01 playoffs? LOL!

  • @gmn545 .....win shares are always accurate?.....thanks for admitting shaq is better than kobe,and so is gasol.....lmaooo....

    2001 playoffs...

    kobe= 0.260 win shares per 48 minutes

    shaq= 0.260 win shares per 48 minutes

    the difference is shaq faced robinson/duncan....and 2001 DPOY mutumbo....shaq carried kobes ass.....i will eat u alive by exposing kobe with win shares

  • @shaqpopcorn34 "better"? No. Only you can't argue "carried". And Kobe also led the Lakers in win shares in '09. And TOTAL WIN SHARES for Shaq and Kobe in 2001 is what? LOL!

  • @gmn545 ...the total win shares by shaq and kobe in 00 and 02 is what?....lmaooo

  • kobe= 8.5 playoff win shares in 3-peat yrs

    shaq= 12.2 playoff win shares in 3-peat yrs

    shaq= carried kobes ass

    kobe= 8.3 playoff win shares in repeat yrs

    gasol= 8.6 playoff win shares in repeat yrs

    lmaooooo.....kobe= carried by dominant bigs...as ive always said.....lakers had the #1,#2,and #3 guys in total offensive rebounds in 2010 playoffs.....i give kobe a lotta the credit for tossing up so many bricks...lmaoo

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Where is this "carried" crap coming from? Tally the win shares of Magic and Kareem...does that mean one "carried" the other? NO. And nice of you to exclude the '08 win shares, when Gasol was getting his ass kicked by KG. Your hatred is as clear as day. LOL!

  • @gmn545 ....magic carried kareem.....gasol getting his ass kicked by kg?.....u mean the 2008 DPOY kg that gasol outplayed the next yr?....

    2008?.....u mean the series in which the lakers allowed the largest comeback in playoff history in game 4 in a game in which kobe was outscored by JAMES POSEY?...

    not to mention allowing 8 threes to ray allen in the blowout game 6 loss......ray had 8 threes.....kobe shot 7-22....ray made more shots from 3 than kobe could from anywhere on the court

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Magic "carried" Kareem??? *smh*.... No wonder why people don't bother with you. I'm just bored at the moment lol...

    And yeah, '08. Who had more win shares...Kobe or Gasol?

  • @gmn545 ....magic carried kareem so much that in 5 title runs,magic outrebounded kareem in the playoffs!!!!!......yes,thats correct.....

    did u know that in 158 playoff games as teammates magic outrebounded kareem?.....

    game 6,1980 finals......no kareem....lakers won 123-107......the most pts they scored all series AND the highest margin of victory all series.....and kareem wasnt even in the building......did i mention the game was in philly?......magic= carried kareem

  • @shaqpopcorn34 game 6 1980 - Magic was phenomenal; no question. Who led the Lakers in efficiency rating and win shares for 1980 playoffs? Kareem.

    *smh*

  • @gmn545 ....u mean the same kareem who wasnt in the building when lakers won it all?.....lakers won 5 titles back then and u are listing only the 1980 total?......and he can thank magic johnson for consistently getting him the ball,even as an old fogey........kareem was the #1 option as late as 1986,and thats why the lost to the rockets.....then in 1987 riley changed that and lakers repeated.....with magic carrying kareem,as usual

  • @shaqpopcorn34 When the lakers won it all in game 6...you're forgetting the first 5 games that led up to game 6, where Kareem was more efficient and contributed more to team wins throughout the ENTIRE playoffs. Magic "gettiing him the ball" was his job as PG...duh. And by 1987? Yeah, when Kareem was 39 years old! LOL!

  • @gmn545 .....kareem 39 in 87?.....and?.....magic carried his old ass.....

    magic more playoff win shares in the 82,85,87 and 88 title runs......didnt u say neither carried each other?.....kareem did jackshit as a laker til magic came along.....magic extended kareems career.....kareem was the reason when the lakers lost....

    DOMINATED on the boards in both the 83 and 84 finals by moses malone and robert parish......as early as the 1982 title run magic outrebounded kareem....embarrassing

  • @shaqpopcorn34 "jackshit"???...perhaps you should look at both players' careers (achievements, per-game stats, PER, etc) and then come back and apologize. It's nice that you love stats, but your over the top of being over the top LOL!

  • @gmn545 ...largest comeback in finals* history

  • @gmn545 ....how can u be up 35-14 after the 1st quarter of a finals game....and then lose?....

    kobe= 17 pts on 6-19 shooting.....as league mvp

    posey= 18 pts on 5-10 shooting....off bostons bench....

    all lakers had to do was hold onto a huge lead at home and series would be tied 2-2 with game 5 in L.A.....instead mvp kobe got outscored by a bench player and choked...pierce,ray,and odom outscored him as well,with all taking fewer shots than kobe

  • @shaqpopcorn34 How? When you become complacent - a problem Fisher has conceded to the Lakers always having a problem with. It's what killed Miami in game 2 of this year's finals.

    And a bench player (Jason Terry) outscored LeBron and Finals MVP Dirk in game 6, after he went 1-12 (1st half) and missed 18 shots all game - same number of misses as Kobe's game 7. Deshawn outscored and shot better than LeBron in game 4...nobody's gonna say he's better than LBJ. Things like that happen sometimes.

  • @gmn545 .....a bench player outscored lebron?....lmaoooo.....

    game 3 vs mavs= kobe 17 pts...bench player jason terry 23 pts

    game 4 vs mavs= kobe 17 pts...bench players terry(31 pts)...peja(21 pts) and barea(22 pts) ALL OUTSCORED KOBE...lmaoooo.

    nice job of bringing up getting outscored by bench players...and lebron got the blame....who got the blame on the lakers?...gasol did...kobe can get outscored by bench players 2 straight games and still take no responsibility for losing...vintage kobe

  • @shaqpopcorn34 YOU brought up "getting outscored by bench players" or did you forget (Posey?). And LeBron got the blame, being #2 in PPG and scoring only 8 points on 3-11 FG. Gasol wasn't playing injured; Kobe was.

  • @gmn545 ....kobe was playing healthy....and sucking.....kobe was so injured he couldnt seem to stop shooting....lmaooooo...

    kinda like how he took 27,20,and 27 fgas after the 2000 finals injury......lmaoooo...

    1982 playoffs= magic 2.7 win shares....kareem a mere 1.5..TIED WITH NORM NIXON..not even close....hahahahhahha

    when has kobe led shaq in playoff win shares by that margin?

    magic= carried ka

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Kobe was playing healthy and dunking over Emeka Okofor. Then he got injured...his FGA for the entire 2011 was 18.6...if Jordan ever shot that few amount of times, his teammates would think he's playing with a failing heart.

  • @gmn545 ....nope...the injury was BEFORE the dunk vs okafor.....and how about checking out that play.....check how kobes man left kobe to double gasol!!!!...lmaooo...while it was unthinkable to leave mike...

    "kobe bryant dunk on okafor".....lmaoo....watch how kobes man ariza leaves kobes ass wide open at the top of the key to double gasol.....lmaoooooooooooooo.....they are more concerned about gasol than kobe.....that allowed kobe to drive.......lmaoo...kobe so pathetic they double off him!!

  • magic 3.0 win shares in 85 title run.....kareem 2.5

    magic 3.7 win shares in 87 title rin.....kareem 2.0....behind worthy...a.c. green with 1.9!!

    magic 4.0 win shares in 88 title run....kareem a pathetic 0.8.....behind worthy,scott,thompson,and cooper...

    magic= carried kareems ass.....like i said

    shaqpop= a damn genius

  • @shaqpopcorn34 "2.0 in 87" at age 39? "a pathetic 0.8" at age 40? *smh* If you asked Magic Johnson if he "carried" Kareem (ranked as high as #2 GOAT by most bball fans), he'd laugh first, then slap you, and ask you to go back and watch Kareem play.

  • @gmn545 .....who is the one that said neither guy carried each other.......first kareem is on magics level....then he gets excuses for being old?....

    what about magics excuses for being a rookie.....42 pts 15 rbs 7 assists AS A ROOKIE to win 1980 title.......kareem got his ass carried by magic....

    dont revert to age excuses after i prove u wrong.....is age why magic had more playoff win shares than kareem in the 82 title run?....hahahhahahhaha.....magic carried kareem....shaq carried kobe

  • @shaqpopcorn34 You're bringing up ONE game for 1980, in comparison to the entire playoffs including the majority of the Finals?....Please get well soon.

  • @gmn545 .....one game?.....

    nah.....ONE GAME....ON THE ROAD....NO MVP KAREEM....ROOKIE MAGIC STARTING AT CENTER.....NBA FINALS.....

    AND A 123-107 VICTORY......they couldnt reach 123 with kareem.....they couldnt win by 16 with kareem.....nuff said.....they did better without the "mvp"

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Yes, one game. Kareem was more efficient and contributed more to team wins for the entire 1980 playoffs. And Magic played Center at tip-off and for for a few minutes...then continued majorily playing 1-2 spots with a few minutes here and there of SF and PF.

  • @gmn545 ....thanks for adding to magics legacy....

    kareem averaged 13.6 rpg in the 1980 finals.......

    magic had 15 rbs in game 6......he carried kareem....

    can u explain why kareem shot .549%.....while magic shot .573%....lmaooo....this was MVP KAREEM and ROOKIE MAGIC.....

    magic= carried kareem.......just like shaq carried kobe...lakers were irrelevant with kareem til magic showed up to save the day

  • @gmn545 .....the 03 season is one that shows just how selfish kobe is.....actually every season does...

    kobe= 23.5 fgas in 03...his most fgas in 8 yrs with shaq

    lakers= 50-32 record in 03...the lakers worst winning % in shaq/kobes 8 yrs together....

    when kobe shot the most in their yrs together,the lakers did the worst..... they were 67-15 in 00 with kobe taking 17.9 fgas.....

    kobe= shot-jacking personified....no wonder the lakers were 25-7 without him from 00-02....the ball actually moved

  • @gmn545 ....to me the game in this yrs playoffs that defines kobe the most might be game 1 vs mavs....

    kobe= 26 fgas....0 assists.....and missed a gamewinner....lmaoooo.....only no teammate saved his ass by putting it back in....

    26 fgas and 0 assists?....lmaooooooo.....vintage kobe.....and the missed gamewinner that is instantly forgotten

  • @shaqpopcorn34 "0 assists"....And that's Kobe's fault?....after all, if the guy he gives the ball to misses his shot, let's blame Kobe for it not going in. LOL!

  • @gmn545 ...yes....thats kobes fault...i guess kobes teammates missing explains the 26 fgas in only 35 minutes....lmaoooo.....gasol had 7 assists in the same game....hahahhahaahha

  • @shaqpopcorn34 And Gasol was passing to who? Kobe hahahaha

  • @gmn545 ....check what kobe did in 11 head to head games vs shaq...

    kobe= 27.2 fgas vs shaq.....lmaooooo.....doing all he can to score as much as possible....

    that includes a 29 fga,0 assist game vs the celtics this yr.....

    5 of those games he jacked up 30+ shots.....including a 38 fga,2 assist game......the single most selfish played that ever lived is kobe bryant

  • @shaqpopcorn34 And yes, Kobe being a SG "all he can to score as much as possible" isn't all that surprising, as his position's MAIN job is to score.

  • @gmn545 ...so having a high scoring teammate means you should average a lot of assists?....lmaooo...

    shaq= scoring champ in 2000

    kobe= 4.9 apg in 2000....lmaoo

    lebron averaged more than that as a rookie straight outta high school coming to a terrible team......kobe is selfish and kobe sucks at passing..

    and please explain allstar games..

    kobe with 25 fgas in 02 allstar game.....24 in 07 allstar game...23 fgas in 09 allstar game.....and 27 fgas in this yrs allstar games...KOBE=SELFISH PRICK

  • @gmn545 ....this is a good time to expose kobes play in his career vs the spurs......the fact is he always shot-jacked vs the spurs,even more than usual.....check the FACTS...

    kobe= 19.4 fgas and 4.7 apg are his career averages

    kobe= 21.2 fgas and 4.0 apg vs spurs

    kobe= overrated joke

  • the less kobe shoots the more successful his teams are......touting high scoring games by kobe means nothing to me....i know the facts....

    PLAYOFF FACTS

    lakers are 30-4 in title yrs when kobe shoots less than 20 shots....

    lakers are 47-22 in title yrs when kobe shoots 20 or more shots....

    30-4 record when kobe shoots under 20 shots?......thats incredible!!!....the more he stays outta the way the better the lakers did

  • @gmn545 .....kobes highest scoring playoffs with shaq was 2003....and thats when the 3-peat ended...

    kobes 3 highest scoring seasons.....

    2003= end of 3-peat

    2006= 1st round exit

    2007= 1st round exit

    in kobes 3 highest seasons his teams failed......his shot-jacking ended the lakers chance at a 4-peat

  • @shaqpopcorn34 "iin kobs 3 highest seasons his teams failed" ...that happens when you have Kwame Brown, Smush Parker, Chris Mihm and (then-Mr. Inconsistent Odom) in you STARTING lineup.
