  • Must be very heavy

  • Wow dude I put in headphones thats amazing

  • what kind of 8 inch subs are those please reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @slymylizard The 8" subs are by Dayton Audio, model SD215A-88. They are DVC 8 ohm subs and I got them at Parts Express. They were on sale when I bought them for $20/ea, looks like they are around $30/ea now

  • Just wanted to send a shout out to SONY MUSIC. This video was flagged b/c I was promoting their music. Fine Sony, I WON"T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN! The old school record labels don't get free advertisement, I guess. I'll move onto other labels/artists that do. Magic Mike, you still rule BTW!

  • ok dude...i love it now couple of questions...

1.how do u charge the battery

2.how long can it go with or charging or how long does the charge last

3.how much wld u sell one for

  • @melpol2005 Thanks for the comment! 1) Use Battery Tender type trickle charger 2) 4 hours at 3/4 volume (LOUD!), 3) Not for sale, but I have over 300 invested in components/parts alone. Then about 10 hours of labor. The subwoofer component is WAY too heavy and big for portability. I may try to redesign it to make it more portable. I think (1) 8" sub would be enough for a modest system. May try digital amp also for more battery life (see the Sure models on Parts Express)

  • you should make these and sell them

  • @dimitrya1234 If I did, I would use Marine components for longevity and durability. Just not sure many people would be willing to fork out $300+ for a toolbox boombox!

  • Great Work!

How much Battery "Ah" are Build in? How long do you play, with the subwoofer addon?

  • @IamDorian The battery for the sub addon is 26Ah and weighs about 15lbs itself. The 11Ah battery used in the toolbox itself is much more manageable at 4lbs. You could also use a computer power supply instead of a battery if you are always using it near an outlet. The computer power supplies have 12v outputs and you can wire it to turn on with a switch. My next sub addon may use the power supply instead of the battery to conserve weight

  • SICK

i love the idea of a base add on

  • @KingSlimjeezy Thanks for the comment! The bass addon is WAY out of control and not very practical. It really needs to be more portable to be useful. I use the toolbox part when washing my car or working in the yard and it does GREAT. I may swap out the MB Quart 6.5's as they sound OK, but not as good as the 6.5 Boston's I had once

  • Very cool. Sounds great even on YouTube. Who is the artist playing in the first song ?

  • @pumpkinhubby Song is "Chelsea's Day" by Sam Cardon. I've used it for YEARS as a demo song. Excellent for testing SQ, dynamic range and tight bass response. Thanks for the comment!

  • what toolbox are you using? brand model?

  • @KrazyJeffSD It is a Rubbermaid 21" Toolbox I bought almost 20yrs ago. I've seen a VERY similar box at Harbor Freight Tools that would work as well. You can see more details about the toolbox in the first video in the series. Thanks for the comment!

  • GREAT JOB!!!!! Sounds excellent. I know your pleased with the out come. 2 THUMBS UP...

  • @timdawg747 I appreciate your comment! I have some ideas for another boombox, just need to start working on it. I enjoy seeing the other creations out there as well...helps keep us inspired!
