What tool and options you used while drawing hardlines on hair? I need to know.

My drawings end up blurry or too smoothy on the hardlines which makes the final work just... Not good.

Omg vielen Dank, du hast mir wirklich sehr geholfen pinkviech :D Zwar habe ich die Technik mit "Skizze -> neue Folie -> Tuschen" schon gekannt, aber nie hatte ich irgentwie einen eigenen "Modus" (Liquid Ink -> Fine Point) dafür gefunden. Da kann man sich vorstellen, was das noch zusätzliche Arbeit gewesen ist, immer zu schauen, dass die Tusche-Linien auch "sauber" werden :-/

Auf jeden Fall vielen Dank und dein Zeichenstil gefällt mir wirklich sehr :D

@thecoolsis07 my main tablet is a wacom cintiq (the one with the screen where i see what i draw) but i also worked on "classic" tablets for years and still sometimes use them. i don't really know, how long it took to get used. it was strange at the beginnig but got better with every use.

I don't ink that bad this traditionally- sometimes I wonder if it's the brush settings, but sometimes I wonder if it's the tablet I'm using. Just asking- how much of a difference is it when you ink with your cintiq and when you ink with your normal wacom tablets? :o

@kmde666 how long do you work with a tablet? i also could not ink with it at first, you need some practice, because it's different from traditional inking. cintiq feels different than "classic" tablets, but you can learn inking with both. some artist i know don't even like drawing on the cintiq.

@pinkviech I have been working on a tablet since... 2009+ or something- but I don't ink all the time. When I do though, It's never "good". I'm gonna try to explain in words- but what happens is that the lines seem very wavy or something. I start to wonder if it's the brush or just the way how I hold the pen. It's really frustrating. Especially on making longer lines and rounder lines. They become very wavy and dirty-looking. :( (On Photoshop btw.)

One of the main things about manga style are the big eyes. In manga the eye isnt completely outlined, but here it is. Also the nose isn't as detailed in manga. Same with the lips.

But nevertheless, your style is still nice and this drawing is breathtaking! :D

@Raiimoto thank you! #^^# i've been drawing since my childhood and i'm still constantly learning. i don't really know when i started doing "projects". i just drew stuff and it was getting better. ;3 and no, i don't work entirely digital, i also draw on paper and also mix styles.

Actually, Manga ranges for a vast variety of drawing styles. It doesn't have to be a huge eyed drawing to be manga :) The main feature of the manga style is the black/white/gray textured layout...

If you look at manga you would be able to see the differences, with your drawings and a real pro drawing. Ever one that knows any better can tell where your from. It's a place called the USA.

@TheColorfulDrawer i draw lineart in both photoshop and painter, more often in photoshop. if your lines are shaky with the table and not shaky on real paper, it can be caused by a not really good tablet or wrong settings.

I think you're just thinking of the more cartoony manga styles. Also, plenty mangas are gothic looking...This is manga, in my opinion. :)

@echizenn808 Manga is not just about copying a particular look, but rather expressing your own style within the parameters of the genre. If you look at the art style of DBZ and then look at Naruto they are quite different. While they do share some of the common traits of manga (big eyes,spiky hair etc.), they still have their own style and look. Therefore, there is no right or wrong way to draw manga, if everyone had thought like that Manga would've never moved passed the look of Astro Boy.
