  • Bandit looked like he was running away from the lady, but I know he was herding the sheep. :)

  • He probably was running from her. She threw a crook at him. I do not approve of doing things like that to dogs and we did not continue herding lessons because of it.

  • Oh my goodness, that's horrible! :( She's so fierce. Did you scold her or anything?

  • I did say, "don't throw that at him" and then I got him and we left and never came back!

  • Looks like he did a great job! Did he get in trouble at 3:24? It sorta looked like he was reprimanded??? A dog psychologist said the best toy you could get a Border Collie would be a few Sheep!! Great job, both of you!

  • Yes, he was getting too close to the sheep I guess. We only did 3 lessons. I did not like that I would just watch as she would train him. I am a hands on person! I think that is why I like canine freestyle and agility better!

  • I thought he did really well not to try to 'get' the sheep earlier. I think I would have gotten bored just keeping them in a circle. She didn't have him to move them from one location or pen to another. How boring, just run around in circles. A lot of Border Collies like to nip at the heels of the herd, but it didn't look like Bandit ever did that. Oh well, we all know he is a good and smart dog. I wouldn't have liked standing on the sides either!

  • Well done Bandit! It looks like he's having the time of his life!

  • It seems like he did well. But I know nothing about herding... That's awesome that you are doing that with him though!!!
