why did you decided to select tutorial project only?

for me i dont have it in my hibernate distribution folder and one more thing , i tried to look hibernate.cfg.xml and the other file in some another folder , and when i copied that into my hibernate project in Eclipse IDE the xml file does not contain any tags for DB or connection stuff ?

can you please explain me a little and suggest me an alternative ?

@ibeev3 You must be working on the latest version of hibernate. You can get sample file with all the required tags from : "hibernate-distribution-3.6.7.­Final\project\hibernate-docume­ntation\quickstart\tutorials\b­asic\src\test\resources".

There are lots of examples under quickstart\tutorials.
