It does not go thru multiple layers, it is hard to make a straight line, and it does warp the paper. I am very disappointed in my purchase. I'd rather use the Close to My Heart or Stampin Up tools to punch holes. They give you more control.
Hi HayleeBaybee - Are you using the piercing mat ? I love this tool, no warping. And no it doesn't look like a sewing machine but does look like hand sewing.
This tool is crap! It warps your cardstock when you roll it along; it doesn't punch the holes all the way through and if you were hoping it would look like a sewing machine sewed it, it doesn't! Don't waste your money!

It works perfectly but you have to use the piercing mat. I have lots of different heads, i looooove it! It looks sweet!
