One thing though, the last note before 'message in a bottle' is sung is a high F#, not the high A you're playing. :)

By the way, what you call "chords" are "strings". What you call "keys" are "frets".

your pronouncing bass like the fish, the "chords" are strings, the "keys" are frets. chords are when you play three or more strings at the same time, keys are the scale you play the music in, im sorry if it's because your English sucks or something, but i thought i'd let you know.

hey luctan. good to see that as a beginner as you have said yourself, that you are getting out there and helping other beginners. it's good stuff. o.k so you could use note names and improve techniqually but that will all come in time if you study. Ignore the people who knock you and keep em coming. It took me 10 years to get anywhere where I could think I was a reasonable guitar player. So, you're doing well man. The whole thing is about having fun. If you are that's all that counts imo.

This is a great video! I had learned this song previously and my fingering was a little different on the "I hope that somewhat gets my..." part of the chorus. Instead of A9, I would play D4. For D7, G2. For the open A, open D. Since most of the other notes you're playing through the song are in the first five frets, it keeps your hand in that same position and make its a little easier. I'd send you a Euro over paypal, but with the exchange rate (for US$) I think I might go broke, lol.
