BEST SONG I EVER HEARD, PLAY IT OVER AND OVER EVERY CHRISTMAS SEASON. EVER SINCE IT CAME OUT YEARS AGO. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS. "JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON"....
This is one of the most beautiful Christmas songs I have ever heard. Your mother had a wonderful heart to write something this beautiful. I know Jesus must love it very much.
Thanks for all condolences. My Mother Jean Dinning (Surrey) sang in a trio with her sisters in the '40s and '50s "The Dinning Sisters". In 1959, she wrote the #1 song "Teen Angel" recorded by her brother Mark Dinning. Both are also on YouTube.
@windycindyc My aunt Carolyn told us a story years ago. She had heard this song one year and searched high and low for years after to find out who sang it. She thought the name of it was Fall Softly Snow. I think she and my uncle Tom were in a thrift store in Gatlinburg (?) when he found it in a big box of old 45's. Her daughter Leslie recorded it on tapes (lol) and gave them to us. I no longer have a tape player (lol) and looked on You Tube and found it!
I discovered this song on the Jim Ed Brown & Helen Cornelius Anthology CD about a year ago. It is my all time favorite Christmas song now. Thanks for posting this clip so I can share it with my friends & family.
I have loved this song since I first heard it almost 20 years ago. It's on a CD entitled A Country Christmas which has other artists singing Christmas songs.
my brother bobby loved this song he would make all his family gather around on christmas eve and play it . one year ago this week we played this as he was dying of cancer. this song will forever be the top best of christmas songs!!!
I have looked for this after hearing it at Christmas while making wreaths at a florist shop with the heavenly aroma of fresh pine and cedar filling the air. 15, 16 years ago??? GOOSEBUMPS then and GOOSEBUMPS now!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Many blessings for sharing. Doxiemomma
Thank you so much for posting this song. This was my Mom's favorite song, and I've looked and looked for it on cassette or CD but never could find it. It has been 15 yrs. since my Mom passed and this song reminds me of her. God Bless you,and Merry Christmas:)
One of my favorites. I have it on an old cassette tape, and have tried but failed to find it on a cd. Thanks so much for posting this and with such beautifull graphics.
Sure wish the two local radio stations that are "all Christmas music all the time" now would play nice songs like this instead of playing the same songs over & over. Thanks for sharing & happy holidays!
