  • are there more snare players or tenor players?

  • This is one of the best tenor solos I've ever seen!

  • He's a juggler AND a percussionist lol. WOW!

  • 4 people are Cavaliers

  • @thejazzpolice2013 Cavies won that year.

  • @HYPERGETIC Fuck yeah they did

  • i just noticed, but he can play traditional off his right hand haha thats pretty cool

  • STILL the greatest percussionist that ever has been in drum corps.

  • I have to say this is very impressive, but I think it sounds very, very harsh. More of a stylistic thing you know

  • @link0867 It sounds harsh because it in an enclosed area. That's why people perform on a stage. More tonal sound to the Tenor Drums.

  • /watch?v=nfu2D68usqA

    not even close

  • Whats he playing at 0:50?

  • @mrnickbeyer sounds like can't stop by the red hot chili peppers hahah

  • @dannyswearinhisheart Yeah, in the beginning he said the title of the solo is "Still Can't Stop".

  • 2:50-3:00 ..... nuff said

  • @1234bobsanchez mad single strokes just cuz he can lol

  • God: "Did you teach him to do that?"

Satan: "No, I thought you did."

    God: "Uhh.... I... ummm... "

Satan: "Shut up and play it again!"

  • My favorite tenor solo of all time

  • i coulda did that

  • My mind was just raped. omg...

  • 50 dollars for an hour lesson and he is a douche

  • @mike5133489 Damn, he must be rich lol

  • Teach me please

  • I think if God wanted to play tenors, it would sound just like this!

  • 4 people are nuts !!!...when they hear "drumsticks" they probably think of chicken

  • I just realized that he does a righty traditional in the middle there!!!! That's what he does just to show off a littlllllle bit! He's a genius, best tenor player ever

  • Notes for days.

  • Where would I get this sheet music?

  • What is happening at 1:09

  • 0:45 what song is he playing, it sounds really familiar...

  • @amkluver12 nvm i figured it out, it's "Can't Stop" by RHCP

  • @amkluver12 i think it sounds like a new red hot chilli pepers song

  • sh ...... it hes friking awsome

  • wow that is some talent you got there mann! keep up the amazing work

  • 4 people are trumpet players

  • is that a young tim watley?

  • What Just Happened???

  • i like the part when he played tenors.

  • did he win

  • Lol..... "Of the concord blue devils....." "Aooo" haha.

  • the crossover flips, bounces, and rythems :0

  • :27 anyone know how he does that viz?

  • @dreamtheaterepicwin smh...i think its one of those "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?" kinda things lol .....the world may never know....hahaha

  • @386niggah lol actually, i figured it out like the day after i posted that comment. its kinda like you flick it forward at just the right angle and it just comes back to your hand

  • Lions, tigers, and rudiments! Oh my!

  • he must be good in rock band drums :D

  • 2:49 ids ridiculous

  • gotta love that right handed traditional lol

  • 3:36 visual is nuts!

  • There are really no word to describe this..

  • how the FUCK did he do that at 0:25!!!!???????

  • @Drumfun1401 i second that... tim jackson is god's reincarnation

  • 3 words... HO...LY... CRAP

  • Was that melody part he started playing at 0:49 Can't Stop ny The Red Red Hot Chili Peppers? :O

  • @legendxesiv Probably Vic Firth. Snare sticks are the ones that sounded louder. Tenor sticks are the mallet heads that sound lower than the snare ones. They also are easier to maneuver around because the head is heavier than the stick.

  • Sheet music for that? Lol I would learn it and be a copy but only he knows it. It's his solo and his decision to make sheet music for it.

  • @Ace0wnzSpades For I&E you have to write the music. Not like you can go up there and make shit up for 2-4 mins

  • @leftshoe0 that's completely wrong. You can, and people have gone up there making up shit.

  • @HotPotatoFeYou have to write something. You can't go up there with no sheet music. Even if its 30 seconds of a 4 min peice

  • @leftshoe0 Im with HotPotatoFever, you dont have to write music then give it to the judge or have to write just to say its on paper. Why would any of them bring up sheet music anyways? This isnt a high school competition. And then would they have the time to bring it all out anyways?

  • if i was given the sheet music for this and asked to play it i would just walk away

  • Brain....melted..... uhh....

  • 4 people need to practice more on their Fisher PRice Drum set...

  • Insane!

  • Rims of Fire.

  • i got an erection from this

  • A true musical genius.

  • What make the Bluecoats percussion staff so bomb? Exhibit A.

  • @WhiteTrashRadioHead ...he marched blue devils lol.

  • @chsbassdrummer He teaches bluecoats now I believe

  • @chsbassdrummer Yea but he's staff for Bluecoats now

  • @WhiteTrashRadioHead BLUE DEVILS. Big difference dude.

  • although a tenor TECHNIQUE is flawless

  • is it me or did i just piss myself from this video

  • i love how he just walks away at the end. haha

  • BEHIND THE BACK OHHHHHHhhh

  • rofl traditional on tenors?! HOLY SCHIEKES!

  • Is it me or does that logo at the beginning look like a whole bunch of middle fingers!

  • @FluffMuffTater , Thats awsome! I wish he was my drumline instructor

  • Someone needs to contact Tim and tell him to try shownig his ability on America's Got Talent.

  • @ether11111 He's my drum instructor, so I'll do so

  • he's a total rimmer

  • best quad player i know

  • @codrumcaptain16 he plays sextuplets :)

  • I can't believe his sticks didn't... combust.

Best part was the fleece mallet bit. Such a cool sound... I wish I had skill like that.

  • Lol honestly, there is no room for constructive criticism. Seriously people, this guy knows what he's fucking doing. He doesn't need to be reminded that some beats lose tempo SLIGHTLY. Going 700 beats per minute will do that to ya... So yeah, he is just beyond amazing, period.

  • Some people are going too extreme, I mean, he didn't do everthing to perfection. He sometimes beats awkwardly, but his so natural arm flow fills in gaps. He is precisely God, though.

  • what impresses me more than anything is this guys precision. everything is so perfect. every little stick trick, flip, one stick roll (using front and back ends) etc, is so precise and in time. It's truly amazing.

  • skills

  • rims? what are those???

  • 00:53 Cool at 1:52 its the guitar part to "Cant Stop" by Red Hot Chili Peppers

  • @A7X6277 thats weird u picked on that. cool

  • This is the only I&E that he didnt drop a stick, which honestly in my opinion doesnt matter, but the reason i pointed it out is because i saw colby beers vid from '04 and there were i think two people that said COlby shouldve won over Tim, and i just thought i would ask the general public, because tim deserved first this year ha ha hands down

  • 2:56 made me instantly weep.. I bursted in tears"

  • do they get sheet music from this somewhere or do they write this themselves?

  • I think I just pee'd a little bit, holy fuck

  • And to think he won with the chili peppers in mind...

  • ke basura ese mage ke kbron

  • WHOA!!!! he went traditional grip with his RIGHT hand a few times!!!! don't see that often. excellent drumming Tim!! :)

    ~Bungee

  • ohhh i get it. Its that Red Hot Chili Peppers song!

  • omg, this is why I completely respect marching drummers this is fucking great!!

  • Dude, Tim....CALM DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how do you write this stuff!!

  • uugghhh, i love thos rim clicks at 1:30....awesome

  • wrist action is suomethin serious

  • Why are my pants wet?

  • I don't know but so are mine

  • @urcoolcoolcool becuse hes you just saw and herd the most badasst enor player lol

  • fuck yo couch bitch

  • Tim Jackson is beast. I love him NOHOMO.

  • noo all homo haha jkk

  • Not sure whether to just give up because I will never be this good or to work harder to try to be like this.

  • I'm sure tim jackson wouldn't want you to give up. lol

  • this guy is so sick he barely uses his wrist let alone his arm.. man its all fingers.. his wrist almost stay still the whole time

  • i wanna be him when i grow up.........lol

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk mdi mais

  • that beat at 0:50 and 1:51

reminds of the song 'can't stop' by the red hot chilli peppers.

  • because thats what he is copying... lol

  • his performing skills with tenors are phenomenal

  • that was quite possibly one of the sickest things I've ever seen in my life. props to you my man.

  • I see this video and go "YEAH I WANNA PRACTICE AND BE LIKE THIS SOME DAY" ... then i see those singles at about 2:56 and lose all hope.

  • I lolled at this.

  • hahaha u lost hope at 2:56...i lost hope within the first like 20 seconds lol

  • those skanks at 1:34 are like perfectly placed in the music

  • I think someone used the"Stick Control" book haha

  • what he can do with one hand, some of our tenors cant even do together, haha

  • has he aged out yet?

  • his last year was 2006.

    he techs at bluecoats now.

  • this was the first video i saw

  • holy.......shit

  • brunch

  • i love it at the end, he slams the sticks on the drum and it falls off when he walks away

  • how does he do that stick flip at 0:27-0:29???

  • he hits the drum and does a normal stick flip...?

    its pretty easy.

  • he didnt flip the stick it bounce back from the rebound

  • no its not.

you have to hit it, and let it bounce back, using the rebound of the drum to bring it to your hand.

its too fast to just have played a note then tossed it

  • What are those? keyboard mallets?

  • Nope. They're more like timpani mallets, but weighted like tenor mallets.

  • I don't believe what I just saw...

  • you obviously hvent seen much tim jackson/ or blue devils lol

  • I actually pretty much have seen every single video of them on Youtube. Not gonna lie. I just like to eulogize them. :)

  • Im asking because I don't know, Im not a dumbass;)

how does he make the cowbell sound near the spocks?

  • The drums he has are by Dynasty. They have a a way of connecting the drums that are differen't from other companies in that when you hit theirs it makes that noise.

  • This dude eats tenors for breakfast.

  • breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 4th meal

  • dont forget second breakfast and afternoon tea

  • lotr reference?

  • el deberia tocan en una banda de brutal fucking black core

  • yes tim jackson put a lot of chili pepper songs in his solos.

  • what song. i need to know

  • i fucking love that trick at 1:17

  • 0:50

    RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS.

and theres probably other songs in there too cuz some things sound very familiar o_o

  • cant's say anything else but WOW

  • you are awesome, wanna have sex? haha joke but you are amazing

  • 0:50-1:02 cant stop by chili peppers anyone?

  • well it kinda is from that solo but he just added more to th
