I just realized that he does a righty traditional in the middle there!!!! That's what he does just to show off a littlllllle bit! He's a genius, best tenor player ever
@dreamtheaterepicwin smh...i think its one of those "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?" kinda things lol .....the world may never know....hahaha
@386niggah lol actually, i figured it out like the day after i posted that comment. its kinda like you flick it forward at just the right angle and it just comes back to your hand
@legendxesiv Probably Vic Firth. Snare sticks are the ones that sounded louder. Tenor sticks are the mallet heads that sound lower than the snare ones. They also are easier to maneuver around because the head is heavier than the stick.
@leftshoe0 Im with HotPotatoFever, you dont have to write music then give it to the judge or have to write just to say its on paper. Why would any of them bring up sheet music anyways? This isnt a high school competition. And then would they have the time to bring it all out anyways?
Lol honestly, there is no room for constructive criticism. Seriously people, this guy knows what he's fucking doing. He doesn't need to be reminded that some beats lose tempo SLIGHTLY. Going 700 beats per minute will do that to ya... So yeah, he is just beyond amazing, period.
Some people are going too extreme, I mean, he didn't do everthing to perfection. He sometimes beats awkwardly, but his so natural arm flow fills in gaps. He is precisely God, though.
what impresses me more than anything is this guys precision. everything is so perfect. every little stick trick, flip, one stick roll (using front and back ends) etc, is so precise and in time. It's truly amazing.
This is the only I&E that he didnt drop a stick, which honestly in my opinion doesnt matter, but the reason i pointed it out is because i saw colby beers vid from '04 and there were i think two people that said COlby shouldve won over Tim, and i just thought i would ask the general public, because tim deserved first this year ha ha hands down
The drums he has are by Dynasty. They have a a way of connecting the drums that are differen't from other companies in that when you hit theirs it makes that noise.
are there more snare players or tenor players?

I have to say this is very impressive, but I think it sounds very, very harsh. More of a stylistic thing you know
link0867 3 months ago
@link0867 It sounds harsh because it in an enclosed area. That's why people perform on a stage. More tonal sound to the Tenor Drums.

you have to hit it, and let it bounce back, using the rebound of the drum to bring it to your hand.
