Hubbys grandad was a twin but theres been none since, so far skipped 2 generations. I had a scan when I was pregnant with my oldest told it might be twins, I had to go back a week later & got told there was only 1 & I was gutted as I started getting used to the idea of having twins. Maybe it'll be the 3rd generation for the twins fingers crossed

One lady at my church- now a grandma, did not know her 4th pregnancy was twins till the second girl came out. Then, she was irritated- but after less than 1 day, she was into the whole twin thing...They look so much the same that we often think Julie IS Kathy (by now they are 40 years old).

@clnewland : I found out I was having twins right in the delivery room. I delivered at 30 weeks and the doctor said "uh oh" there is another one in your rib cage.. out came a little 2 pound baby and the other was 2 and a half pounds.. Now they are 2 and a handful. And daddy wants a son and I told him good luck with that...

Yes. The girls are 1 week shy of being 1 year old. I did have Twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome so I was on bedrest for several months, and they were in the NICU for 8 weeks, but they are healthy and happy... :)
