i started playing trumpet my senior year in high school and became lead trumpet the first week cuz i apparently was talented :D but when it came to jazz and big band music i always performed horribly since my interests were in classical and baroque music. too much pressure being lead on everything that i always panic and never played at my best, my nerves destroyed me. and as my teacher always said," the way u practice is the way your going to perform."
i stopped practicing this piece after S&E not knowing i would have to play it again.
and when i had to pick it up again, i just didn't have time to work on it as much as i would have liked to. as for the other few missed notes in there, no one is perfect.
on a piece like this, my teacher taught me that i can relax a little and let some things go. you may be one to play it straight with no style and just strictly rhythmic, but everyone has different styles of playing. and honestly, i don't think i threw away a whole lot of the rhythmic patterns, but then again, you can't even spell rhythm.
@Trumpetman123 also, look how play harry jammes, his concerto, in the rythm, but very free, you must to play in style, but in rythm, not like you thing straight, you can also do music :)
not good but it wasnt that bad. :)
