  • what is meaning of Gorakh Dhanda

  • I am speechless. The translation adds so much more to the qawali (for those of us who are brought up in the UK and don't know urdu that well). Just goes to show that despite all the fighting and bickering, deep down, we ALL know that there is only one God. how can there possibly be more than one? As for Ustad Jis music? No words are good enough to praise him... what a blessing to mankind. Please post more translations

  • Nice effort!!! although many fatal spelling mistakes.

  • @restrictedkhan Fair comment, was a bit careless in the proof reading. Hoping it will not detract from the video.

  • Great Qwwali Written By Naz Khialwi A famous poet in Faisalabad. He is a very good mystic poet his nam is Muhammad Siddiq But known as Naz khailvi. His Phone number 00923457879399

    Nusrat sahab is awesome.

  • when he says YOU are incomprehensible, who is he talking about?

  • He is conversing with God all the way through.

  • @pelitsnake ... yes.. or the You could also be Self.. or the state of Human Being...lol thats the riddle.. is there any difference ... no ... all "pronouns" are false.. for all is One.. ;)

  • about God.

  • GOD

  • Khan Sahib's music is immortal...so is his philosophy....RIP

  • The preceding comment I posted was written before watching this complete video. I must say that this is the first time I've really heard Nusrat explicitly mention about an incomplete self, one who deals explicitly in the finite, while the other in the infinite. The amalgam of the two is the complete self, credit to Kierkegaard.

To have faith, which in objective terms is blind and stupid, causes a great deal of internal consternation. To have faith one can't think in objective terms, I think.

  • You know, I feel that sometimes there is a forced push towards having faith.

I haven't hit a personal rock bottom, where I will forced to acknowledge that for god anything is possible, and that my only obligation at this point is to have faith.

Kierkegaard makes a good point of stating that, in "The Sickness Unto Death". To be critical of Nusrat, I would say that he contemplates in the infinite too much. Yet, his staunch faith in Allah, is something I contemplate too often myself.

  • thank you for posting these magnificent words, for me its added a whole new dimension to Nusrat's music which i already loved but couldnt fully appreciate.

  • I love this Qawwali

Nusrat sahab's Voice is more than anything to me, it just gives me peace, its been years i listen this just before going to bed.

    Please listen all 3 parts,

sad part is some people commented, which i didnt like.

  • This is awsome.

  • This world really needs the hold of a religion like Islam cause without it the world will be a hell.Cause with it people still deny and break the rules and commit terrorism i will not blame only muslims even westerns have a big part in it.

  • Very thought provoking. I was shocked that he discussed conceot of "dwait-Adavit out of Hinduism, some verses sounded like verses of Bhagvad Heeta. I gues God is great. We just don't try to understand God or ech other.

  • In South Asia, Sufi tradition were very strong in past, unfortunately in recent years it is increasingly being replaced by more sort of imposed version of religion and interpretation of religious idea. I guess we need to presevre and cherish such traditions.
