I did some model research since I got mine in the last week, it seems you can use a T8300 CPU upgrade from the T7100, however, I wonder how to get the base removed, palmrest out of the way for access. I unscrewed the keyboard and just use the plastic tabs between the keys to lock in place, so so so much easier then messing with screws on the bottom! Seems the attaching tabs are so good, it doesn't need any screws!
Well, back in 2007,when new, how much was this? I just got one tonight from the same Pawn America store I scored my Acer Aspire 4710. That computer was set to sell at $125 dollars, The HP was among several listed under $100!!! I paid, YES, $75 bones WITH TAX! Reason they give is sold As Is, untested, no AC but a dead battery, well, OF course I have TARGUS universal and it worked like a charm!! Catch my channel for show and tell time!!
Ahora este es mi objetivo, me he basado en conocimientos como el arte de la guerra y lo que he aprendido en juegos d eguerra para realizar este proyecto, he asimilado esos conocimientos y los estoy aplicando a mi vida diaria.
I am wondering why these marketing "specialists" seem to be wholly blind-sighted when it comes to the keyboard feel, while this is one of most important aspects of the overall feel of any serious laptop.
@wishal95 I should hope so, unlike my Acer 4710 series, I don't think MXM cards are supported, If you have the Acer, the FSB is 533, perhaps 667, but this T7100 is true Core2Duo and not Core Duo like the 4730 which is T3200, or the 4710 which is T2450 both of those are 2Ghz, this T7100 is only 1800Mhz, but the RAM is the same on all mine, 2GB
I use this except I have the Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 version with 2 GB of RAM. I can tell you right away that it's a durable laptop. I've dropped it a few times and no damage.
I downgraded it to XP because Vista wa giving me issues and so far no problems.
It has a decent chipset X3100 that can play games like GRID, Cod 4, ect.
It works fine with Dual monitors. I am using a 30" Cinema display from apple using the VGA-DVI converter. Quality is great, no lags.
I don't have that, but I got the HP Compaq, AMD 64 anthlon X2 Nvidia and I like it.
has the Dual DVD RW and or Cd's and Light scribe. the light scribe disc's are little bit more expensive so I charish them very.
I upgraded the HD myself from 160 GB to 250 GB . it has 1 GB of ram and an extra to hold up another 1 GB or higher. as long as it is built for the slot it will fit.
run windows vista Premium SP2 and I love it. can't wait till the come out with SP3..
I know, right? i got mine for free cause my uncle bought 2 from TigerDirect; one with windows xp pro and one with vista, and he gave me the xp for my birthday in april
Performance isn't too bad with this laptop but it is low quality plastic like mentioned. It seems to be built just marginally better than the lowest end DELL's.
There are two screens available 1280x800 & 1680x1050. The screen is junk. It's not very bright yet whites are blown out. Not recommended for graphics. If you decide to use an external screen there is an issue with flickering when using the laptop plugged in. The 1680x1050 screen is slightly better but I haven't used it nearly as much.
@jdsony I have 800 size maxed out, just got tonight, and working, I have no problems, I use Acer, Dell, Toshiba, Sony, Etc. Comaq Evo in the past as well, and none of the screens are vastly different except the Sony which is high gloss glass, and reflective as such. The bright levels turned up as needed look fine. Use Windows Gamma adjustments
This notebook sucks, my boss gave me one, numerous problems with vista, so I downgraded to XP.
This notebook has everything every other notebook has, but is lacking a good screen resolution (1280x800 instead of a whopping 1680x1020). It is heavy and totally made out of low quality plastic.
Don't expect to be gaming with this thing, the graphics come from the intel chipset. This notebook is fine as a basic business model though the screen's resolution is bad and it's heavy and big!
Most laptops or newer laptops with the mini dimms are located underneath the keyboard or underneath a screwed in square plate towards the upper middle usually by a cooling fan. Remebers theres always Google.
@bgerch23 Hope I can help all y'all, Look under the keyboard and under the rear panel with the WiFi card and one memory module, the SODIMM slots, could have had two of them stacked as Acer has done, but like a few other companies, they put one on both sides of the motherboard, which is odd. To get the keyboard off, there are a few sliding plastic tabs along the top and three screws on the bottom, one inside the compartment of the first RAM (near WiFi card) Putting KB back on, use just the tabs!
I put 4 gigs of ram in it, got the extended life 12 cell battery and I can dual boot XP and Vista business 64-bit. This laptop is really a great all around, the only problem i have is that the video is not dedicated so you cant run high end games on it.
Haha! There is misspelling at 0:08! Notebbok PC :P I have that laptop btw and I'm on it right now. Pretty cool but sometimes the fingerprint sensor is annoying when writing.
"They pretty much fixed all the problems with Vista"
"15.4" wide screen, that keeps the size compact enough to travel"
Is this guy serious. 15.4 is compact???? And Vista??? Two weeks using Vista on this notebook, & I switched to XP, but had problems with some drivers so plunged myself to the world of Linux with Ubuntu & never looked back. It is a good solid notebook, just don't listen to this guy and his admirable sales techniques. He knows nothing about computing.
I did not insult anyone. I just expressed my opinion. A 15.4 inch laptop is not mobile like a 12.1. As for asking who he is, I don't really think it makes a difference. In my opinion it is a tacky promotion of an average laptop and nothing more.
May I ask you a question then. Is your desk next to this guys desk, because it seems to me that this you two work in the same place.
If not you are very touchy and offend people too easily.
@onishchuk4 I'd like to see you make a great product that NEVER EVER needs upgrades, There will always be bugs in intricate code, there will always be Service Packs, You can TAKE That to the Bank, my friend
@MetallicBill Dude your preaching to the choir. Did you miss the fact that comment is over 3 years old? You seriously watched this old video and replied to one of its old comments? Lolz....btw I took "That" to the bank and already cashed it broseph. ;)
@onishchuk4 Most of these are old comments, we don't all gush over our laptops, but you'll have to excuse me, I just got this model last night and I like the HP cosmetics, that was one factor alone. Even liking the finger ID that some object to, I forget passwords and ID via finger print is nearly effortless in comparison
@onishchuk4 I spent $80 for Vista Ultimate, and it's not too unlike Windows 7, the advantage to getting Ultimate is I can install on any computer with a Vista COA, because Ultimate covers all the versions under it! It works just fine, BTW, I have SP1 or 2 I think it is now
@onishchuk4 This video did come up when I was at the tail end of my company job, the recession kicked my arse, the downside is you need to move up in the series to get MXM graphic card options, but it should run a 800Mhz bus 2.4Ghz C2D. It does not read PC card Express or SDHC cards
I agree. There are ways around it, like killing the person and using their finger, or maybe simply chopping the finger off. Also, you can dust for their fingerprints and try to turn one of them into a usable print to get into the computer. Or just simply resetting the CMOS should do the trick.
@raby760 He did neglect to mention, you have to set the security yourself, so it's all unlocked at first, and I would not bet on the CMOS batt reset, it doesnt work on ACer passwords, they are in an EEPROM chip! Secure on the mainboard
