this does remind me of those old school cartoons. which reminds me, do you realize how violent those were, and how much smoking and drinking there was? of course, the newer remakes of those shows aren't that great, like Tom and Jerry, not as much beating. Oh well.

you know, even with all that stuff, most of it went over the viewers head, since most viewers were little kids. for example, i saw a Bugs Bunny cartoon where he was taken in front of a firing squad, another where Porky Pig killed a cat. only recently did i notice the violence from cartoons i saw like 8 years ago. but i still think they were great, though dark.

Tom & Jerry and Loony toons has taken up all this stuff, i understand it's hard to come up with new content.. what is there left to do???? Anyways, really good animation, and I don't say that to, well, anybody.. but, Im really tired and, uhh, high on life or something. It depends how meticulous you are. I could only afford to rush this one due to university commitments. Cerberus (or Tirrel) is another animator who takes until the end of time to make his shorts, but the quality of them is, in general, very good indeed.

I never know how to react when I see something like this- either to praise it because it's so good, or to hate the person responsible because they have talent I wish I had and I envy them. ;-) I had some ideas for some flash cartoons a few years ago but my art & animation skills are zero, so they never got anywhere.

To be honest any idea I could come up with would be hideously and embarrasingly bad compared to anything else out there. I've actually been thinking about that idea I came up with, and it really makes me cringe now- basically involving turning members of my family into cartoon dogs (I hadn't heard the word "anthro" at the time), and they'd probably have themselves been bemused if I'd told them about it.
