Only the whole body can lose fat, not just the belly. Look at the body builders, when they are preparing for a competition: they have much body fat, but a lot of muscles. To have many muscles does not mean, to burn more body fat.

hey guys, if any of you are just not getting what your looking for outa the gym, try looking into parkour/freerunning. soem of the videos here on youtube are pretty crazy but i promise if you look for other people to train or teach you then you will see that it is about a lot more than crazy stunts.

The only downside to doing CARDIO is that it increases your appetite. He's right when he say's "your diet sucks, you like your beer too much, too much stress in your life" as these things cause one to eat more or increase their calorie intake. The bottom line is that if you want six pack abs but without the muscle, do cardio, eat right, stay disciplined. If you want both muscle and six pack abs, include a workout routine with free weights & machines at the gym, drink protein shake after workout
@supermark98 you made some good points, though there is no need to drink protein shake to have six pack abs. you have enough protein in food you eat, why fill yourself in with additional unwanted calories? if you get rid of fat from belly you'll notice muscle, and there will be enough of it to be seen through the skin if you work out your belly even without machines or gym. those things are unnecessary and one can go easily without them and still have great effects.
@heisfriendly I only recommend taking a protein shake after a workout (preferrably 1 scoop of whey isolate like Ultimate Nutrition ISO-Sensation" which has 130calories and 30grams of protein) to help with recovery. It's a well known fact that consuming a protein drink after a workout improves recovery as that is a window of opportunity. The bottom line is that if you want six pack abs, it's a combined effort - training and dieting.
He's wrong on a few accounts. Cardio is needed to raise metabolism, and when you do cardio, it raises your bmr (basal metabolic rate) and even tho after a cardio workout you stop doing cardio, your body is still burning calories at an increased speed as opposed to doing no cardio at all. You CAN do cardio and not sacrifice muscle, however you CANNOT do outrageous amounts of cardio (like more than 2 hrs.) everyday and expect to keep muscle. The best thing I find is 1 hr. weights, 1 hr. cardio.
This guy did not show his 6-pack and I'm not sure there is much of one there. I also think it is very dangerous to put down cardio. There needs to be a good mix. I lift weights and to cardio. @Yoyocita2 It's a bad thing if your trying to burn a lot of calories. As your body becomes used to running it becomes more efficient and burns less calories to do the same amount of work. That's why doing the sprint/jog type of interval will burn more calories every time. It doesn't give your body a chance to adapt to it. And you'll burn more calories for a longer period of time after the workout.

I am 38 year old 5'11" guy and in the mid of April this year I was 240 lbs with 42" waist. I started jogging incline about 30 minutes per day and will do occasional push ups at home and now I am 205 lbs with 36" waist. You need to cut sugars and saturated and trans fats and consume more fibre and mono fats. It is kitchen where you are going to lose belly fat excercise will not help if you have no kitchen plans.
What i do is,after dinner i dont eat any carbs,mainly protein,and zero fat.from when i eat my dinner to when i wake up i'v depleted all my carbs,then first thing i do is go on the treadmill for 30 mins, this way you are GARUANTEED to burn fat because your body has no choice!after cardio,i eat low fat porride(high impact carbs,good amount of protein,some good fat) and basically stock my body up with impact carbs+protein,then later i eat dinner.repeat this process and ur garuanteed,its that simple

@JDubble7414 Also, if you purely do cardio to lose weight, your body gets used to running at the same speed or cycling for long periods of time, and so your exercises become less effective. Only do long periods of cardio if you're planning to run a marathon or something.
IMO fat loss supplements are a waste of money. Most are. Just eat right, do cardio and drink coffee or tea if you want your heart rate to go up and you are not used to drink those.

Unless you're a pro athlete, a personal trainer or live off of body building, then it's unlikely you'll ever have a six pack. Why? Time commitment.
I used to hit the gym 4days/wk for 6mos to get a solid six pack so when driving/sitting my body is not slouched.
Then I gave up that routine simply bc of the time commitment that I no longer have.
Now I do push ups/sit ups and resistance tube 2-3x/wk to remain
toned and body ache-free.

actually when you perform cardiovascular exercises your working out ur muscles hommy, ur abs arms and legs cardiovascular are even worst then lifting weights trust me hommy weight can help u get muscle but they take proteins dont forget about it, also try too do some killing cardios if its ur first time ull have a lot of pain in all ur muscles.

i am a 17 year old normal built guy, i been working hard to get out my beach six pack but its a little layer of fat over my belly (probably from the winter hybernation) so its not coming out as much as i want it to, now spring is coming and i am going to try interval training like this fellow suggested, any tips would be great... thanks

Only the whole body can lose fat, not just the belly. Look at the body builders, when they are preparing for a competition: they have much body fat, but a lot of muscles. To have many muscles does not mean, to burn more body fat.

hey guys, if any of you are just not getting what your looking for outa the gym, try looking into parkour/freerunning. soem of the videos here on youtube are pretty crazy but i promise if you look for other people to train or teach you then you will see that it is about a lot more than crazy stunts.

i think it is also worthwhile mentioning if you are drinking fluoridated water, or some medication like prozac. it is likely that you will either develop
hypo/ hyper thyroidism. which throws out the whole endocrine system, adding to weight gain. plus all the xenoestrogens found in pesticides & plastics which are creating severe hormonal imbalance & weight gain
The excess weight is harder to shift, but once conscious of the cause, u can rectify easily ! STOP DRINKING TAP WATER, get a DISTILLER!

The best way to loose belly fat is to first do a intense 10 minutes on the treadmill/cross trainer etc then once u have done that, go and train ur legs intense for 40 minutes, and after u trained legs do another intense 5 minute cardio session, be sure to drink atleast 3 litres of water everyday for best results and have a good diet, worked for me, but everyone is different so might not work for you...

seriously,too much talking,confusing too. simply walk and jog before working out, and especially before working on your belly.i think that without sweating,fat dont burn well. drink some juice if you jog/walk long distance,not just water!i've heard that marathon runners died during the race when they drank too much water during the marathon! keep your eyes open when working out!do not close your eyes when working out during strenuous exercise that is! you can close eyes during the break though

The only downside to doing CARDIO is that it increases your appetite. He's right when he say's "your diet sucks, you like your beer too much, too much stress in your life" as these things cause one to eat more or increase their calorie intake. The bottom line is that if you want six pack abs but without the muscle, do cardio, eat right, stay disciplined. If you want both muscle and six pack abs, include a workout routine with free weights & machines at the gym, drink protein shake after workout

@supermark98 you made some good points, though there is no need to drink protein shake to have six pack abs. you have enough protein in food you eat, why fill yourself in with additional unwanted calories? if you get rid of fat from belly you'll notice muscle, and there will be enough of it to be seen through the skin if you work out your belly even without machines or gym. those things are unnecessary and one can go easily without them and still have great effects.

@heisfriendly I only recommend taking a protein shake after a workout (preferrably 1 scoop of whey isolate like Ultimate Nutrition ISO-Sensation" which has 130calories and 30grams of protein) to help with recovery. It's a well known fact that consuming a protein drink after a workout improves recovery as that is a window of opportunity. The bottom line is that if you want six pack abs, it's a combined effort - training and dieting.

He's wrong on a few accounts. Cardio is needed to raise metabolism, and when you do cardio, it raises your bmr (basal metabolic rate) and even tho after a cardio workout you stop doing cardio, your body is still burning calories at an increased speed as opposed to doing no cardio at all. You CAN do cardio and not sacrifice muscle, however you CANNOT do outrageous amounts of cardio (like more than 2 hrs.) everyday and expect to keep muscle. The best thing I find is 1 hr. weights, 1 hr. cardio.

Cardio is needed to get your heart rate up, among other reasons. I would like to know what his credentials are.

This guy is misleading.You don't loose muscle when doing cardio. You loose muscle by not working out or by not eating enough protein. You still continues to go at it even after you stop running. So what if you get more efficient at running? What's wrong with that? You can't spot reduce fat. The body will decide where it will loose weight.

You have to look around and speak with professionals if you really want to get set up on the best program for you and your body. Speaking with your doctor can get you off to a great start. everyones body is diffrent the best way to lose fat imo, right when u wake up get on yur bike, go the LOOOONNNNGGGGG way to the gym, hop on the tred mill do HIIT( high intensity intervole training) sprint for 1 min, walk for 1 min do that for 15 mins 5x a week bike back home drink whey protien right when u get home, 2 hrs later eat a protien meal (chicken breast / brown rice / veggies) blah, ive lost 10% body fat in 1 month and gain over 15 pounds of muscle.

@Yoyocita2 It's a bad thing if your trying to burn a lot of calories. As your body becomes used to running it becomes more efficient and burns less calories to do the same amount of work. That's why doing the sprint/jog type of interval will burn more calories every time. It doesn't give your body a chance to adapt to it. And you'll burn more calories for a longer period of time after the workout.

I am 38 year old 5'11" guy and in the mid of April this year I was 240 lbs with 42" waist. I started jogging incline about 30 minutes per day and will do occasional push ups at home and now I am 205 lbs with 36" waist. You need to cut sugars and saturated and trans fats and consume more fibre and mono fats. It is kitchen where you are going to lose belly fat excercise will not help if you have no kitchen plans.

What i do is,after dinner i dont eat any carbs,mainly protein,and zero fat.from when i eat my dinner to when i wake up i'v depleted all my carbs,then first thing i do is go on the treadmill for 30 mins, this way you are GARUANTEED to burn fat because your body has no choice!after cardio,i eat low fat porride(high impact carbs,good amount of protein,some good fat) and basically stock my body up with impact carbs+protein,then later i eat dinner.repeat this process and ur garuanteed,its that simple

Yes cardio will help you lose the wieght, but it will do nothing for your muscles. You have to be balanced when you are getting in shape. It's the cause and effect of everything. @JDubble7414 Also, if you purely do cardio to lose weight, your body gets used to running at the same speed or cycling for long periods of time, and so your exercises become less effective. Only do long periods of cardio if you're planning to run a marathon or something.
