Why would you even send in a crew on a trash fire??? this is what that is!!!,no one inside would be alive,nothing to save.,seems pump operator didnt know what to do!
How do you know that the no one would be alive? I got there about 5-10 minutes after the first arrving units and didn't start video until a few minutes after that. That's what firefighters do, they go into a fire and search, especially that time of the morning on a Sunday. The line that took a little bit to get charged was a back-up line. There was two other crews already inside fighting the fire.
I would have let that burn to the ground....less work for the County to have bull dozed away.
And even trying an exterior attack with 1 3/4" with that fire load fully involved won't help.
I second 93CFD's call.....get a couple probies on a line or 2 and let em have fun

did he just carry that ladder down there so that one of the guys might trip over it?
Skankpronger 11 months ago
@Skankpronger There was a crew inside operating on the second floor that came out to the right just as he is going around the back with the ladder.

@nobleff517 I gotta agree. They needed a 2 or 21/2 also.

Seemed to take forever to get water on the fire even after the hose was charged. I can't figure out what they were waiting for?
bapabob 2 years ago
There was a crew inside knocking down some fire already. The crew you saw is the backup crew.
racinjason88 2 years ago
@bapabob
With crews inside, you do not want to start an exterior attack, because you do not want to push the fire back into those crews

At this point, all you can do is just surround and drown.
