He sings with so much vibrato that it sounds like a weak two stroke engine trying pull a heavy truck up a steep slope. Requires great effort and perhaps that makes him great singer. Kumar Sanu and Sonu Nigam are the worst two singers in Bollywood music industry.

@0niq Look my friend - I am an oldie - I grew up listening to Kishoreda, Hemant da, Manna dey, Rafi saheb - these guys had such tremendous voice and exquisite control that made them legend. This guy Sonu Nigam has extremely weak voice that vibrates like a plane going through turbulence - very hard to control. Among the new singers - Abhijit da, Sukhwinder, Kailash Kher - fantastic voice and control. So I do appreciate a good voice and singing when I hear it. Nothing personal against Sonu.

@ahmedhemani88 your much older then me so i wont really argue. But you said u liked Kishore's voice, and he has a lot of vibrato in his voice. Sonu Nigam is one of the very few singers whose tone and scale have similarities with M.Rafi. Kailash Kher has also a lot of vibrato in his voice. The reason i replied to ur 1st comment is because Sonu's voice is my favourite. His voice young and energetic but at the same time its also gentle. His singing doesnt match rafi but its still very good.
