It's just unbelievable! If the Bishops Conference is indirectly funding abortion and homosexuality what does this say for the health of the Catholic Church in the USA. I think there are powerful people in the Catholic Church who believe in a different Gospel to the one the Catholic Church proclaims officially.
Now I understand why the Holy Father, Pope Benedict said in 2009 (to paraphrase) that we in the Church should not be surprised if in the future the structure of the Church were to look for all practical purposes as if it has ceased to exist and the Church which remained would consist of small groups of faithful Catholics. The Holy Father was not unhappy in his statement, he has warned us to prepare. Perhaps he knows about the white washed sepulcher known as the USCCB - falling appart inside out?
>> Pope Benedict said in 2009 (to paraphrase) that we in the Church should not be surprised if in the future the structure of the Church were to look for all practical purposes as if it has ceased to exist and the Church which remained would consist of small groups of faithful Catholics.
That is how we started. And, minus the lack of internet, I would have no real problems with a 1st century type of life.
Haha!! I made that Judas comment before the video reached that point! It just sounded too much like Judas! And then the video reaches that point where it mentions Judas, the patron saint of social justice!
Thank you Real Catholic TV for shining the light on this important issue. We cannot judge motivation here, but as Scripture says, "You shall know the tree by its fruit!" Pro-Abortion? Pro-Homosexual Marriage? Really? What is really unjust is that the funds for this come directly from the pockets of hard-working laity who trust the bishops. This is really so deceitful.
Dortheedae, you are being gullible. Pray for eyes that see and ears that hear and that John Carr sees the error of his ways and make ammends. To RealCatholicTV, thanks for your hard work. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops are sadly rowing in the same boat as tha American Bishops. Dear God help us all.
Thank you Michael Voris for being a mighty watchdog of our Holy Church! May God bless you and strengthen you, as I pray He strengthens all the faithful against injustices and sin inside and out of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
I just watched this and... you've got to be kidding me. I've heard John Carr speak at least a half dozen times and EVERY time he's woven in concern for life and the need to fight abortion, even if he was talking about poverty or some other social justice topic. The man is totally pro-life. Whoever is trying to ruin his reputation should be ashamed. You must have a political agenda.
If John Carr is so pro-life, then why was he a member of an organization whose main and avowed objectives (as shown on their webpage) are anti-life?
He was on the board, a senior member of the board. It is impossible to suggest he did not know the objectives of the group. It would be like Wagoner of GM saying "Wait, we make CARS?"
10-4! there appear to be many in the Holy Roman Catholic Church who "mouthe" a "pro-life" position and put on a good show but when it comes down to brass tacks, they don't get the job done. Randall Terry has done more than Carr any day of the week.
The key word is "woven" in your comments. Next time you listen to him speak, hopefully you will have done your homework and actually hear what he is saying. People like Carr aren't going to give you a handout on their alterior motives.
Remember, actions speak louder than words. and anything done in the dark shall come to light.
We need to pray for the faithful to be strengthened, the lukewarm renewed, the fallen away restored and the prideful and all others converted. We are in spiritual warfare.
Keep reporting - some Bishop receiving Christ's grace to understand how he has wronged the Church might one day thank you. But do so in a spirit of mercy.....not outrage. As a brother in Christ I ask you to see the souls of these Bishops not as enemies, but as children of God struggling more intensely in this battle than we are and we need to pray for them.
God bless us all and may our Guardian Angels help us in this war and inspire us to do the right thing.
>> As a brother in Christ I ask you to see the souls of these Bishops not as enemies
I can't do that - not for all of them. There may be some bishops who are truly ignorant of what they are doing and supporting, but there are certainly some who KNOW they are supporting abortion and homosexuality. They are KNOWINGLY and WILLINGLY supporting moral evils.
Absolutely some of the Bishops are my enemies. And why SHOULDN'T we be outraged when the shepherds of the flock are traitors?
>> children of God struggling more intensely in this battle than we are
And I don't necessarially agree with this thesis either. Granted, bishops are under greater attack . . . but they have greater grace too. No man, NO MAN, is given more than he can handle. The difference between a man who willingly supports abortion and channels money and advocacy to it and one who does not is PERSONAL COURAGE AND HUMILITY.
Many of the bishops have failed in this. I pray God will ahve mercy on them.
But it is certainly the case that before there can be mercy there must be humility and confession and restitution - and NOT what we are getting which is lies, coverups and falsehood.
No-one is claiming to be perfect - but the fact is the bishops are not merely making mistakes. Some of them are ACTIVELY SUPPORTING EVIL and most of the others are standing by and letting it happen without a murmur.
As of this moment, I havn't seen a single bishop come out & condemn what the USCCB & CCC did
I think it goes also without saying, that these Bishops screwing up have been under attack more intensely than any lay person or priest experiences....logic about warfare would state this to be true. Some fight the good fight. Some tire....and get weak.....and screw up. Which makes it important to stress that we pray for these souls - most of which are called by God to serve Him.
It's war people. Full on spiritual assault we are all involved in
Yes, the Bishops have been attacked - and have failed. Again, you use the phrase "screw up" - this is NOT what has happened. This is CONSISTENT, SYSTEMATIC suypport of evil. This is not making a single mistake.
>> It's war people. Full on spiritual assault we are all involved in
And yet you seem to suggest we should not use the weapons at our disposal. You seem to want us to shut up and not expose this evil for what it is.
so my suggestion is that RealCatholicTV needs to continue on its work in a spirit more conducive to the inspiration of how Jesus would expect them to handle it. Because without a condemning story of flawed Bishops, the demoralization of the rest of us isn't possible. Be careful of whose tool you have become.
>> Because without a condemning story of flawed Bishops
The story you said in another comment was "needed"? Hypocritical much?
>> the demoralization of the rest of us isn't possible
Rubbish - people can be demoralized by hearing about this themselves, or by listening to the watered down faith presented at hundreds of masses across the world. How DARE you suggest if we weren't here no-one would be demoralized?
Coming from someone who has just advocated we keep silent on an issue he says NEEDS to be reported, this would be funny were it not so sad.
You are seriously suggesting we keep quiet, and do not report EVIL in the Church? You suggest that by exposing evil we are the tools of evil, rather than its enemies? You seriously suggest it is better to allow evil to fester unchecked and unchallenged?
>> RealCatholicTV needs to continue on its work in a spirit more conducive to the inspiration of how Jesus would expect them to handle it
Have you READ the Gospels, and what Jesus said about the religious leaders of the day who were false teachers? He makes us sound positively supportive of these evil men.
I think if anyone needs to consider whose tool he has become, it is you. You are advocating silence when faced with rank evil.
next....the devil uses this news story to weaken the Faith introducing or nurturing doubt about it to the New Catholics, cradle Catholics, mad Catholics - Catholics less informed in their faith. After all, what greater scandal of Church history threatens to demoralize and spawn doubt than that of the last decade or so?
>> the devil uses this news story to weaken the Faith introducing or nurturing doubt about it to the New Catholics, cradle Catholics, mad Catholics - Catholics less informed in their faith
Which is why you will notice our materials and videos and comments are ALWAYS saying the Church will not fall against these attacks, and exhorting people to stay strong in the faith, despite what they see certain people doing.
It's called spiritual warfare people. Sure, we need to report on things like this for accountability purposes, but not one of us is immuned to the attacks from the evil one. Why is it we hear about the Bishops messing up like this all the time? Because first, satan tries to take out the more powerful.....much like our forces try to take out head terrorists. ....it's demoralizing for the opposing force. The result...........a news story.
>> Why is it we hear about the Bishops messing up like this all the time?
This is not "messing up". Forgetting yourself and taking a lustful look at a pretty girl for 30 seconds is messing up. This is organized support of pro-abortion organizations with money and advocacy for YEARS.
And we hear more about this than others because the Bishops, sadly, DO THIS more than others. And they are held to higher standards.
As you say - we have to report this. Thanks for agreeing with our stance.
The baby is not guilty of the unhappiness of his origin. He is a human being, like you and me. Abortion is killing. The baby is a new person, not a part of a woman's body. He has a unique spirit, not shared with his mother. You and me wouldn't be writing this right now, and be such a great help to our parents now that they are in need, if they had decided to be so selfish and cowards to abort us.
Careful not to throw too broad a net. The stance against contraception is a teaching ot the Church and, as such, does not bind non-Catholic Christians.
Not true - "Jesus is God" is a teaching of our Church, but that applies to EVERYONE.
Moral evil is moral evil. The non-use of contraception binds EVERYONE.
You might as well say "Thou shalt not kill" only binds Jews and Christians. By that argument, one could just say "Meh, I am not any religion" and live ANY life and be assured of Heaven.
It's nice to know that the Bishops' Conference is getting so nervous about your interest in their doings.

Abortion does fight poverty. Look at the facts.
natekay 2 years ago
I looked at the facts - our video The Cost of Abortion does it in more detail.
Abortion causes the removal of PRODUCING MEMBERS OF SOCIETY! People who work and pay taxes and provide and so forth.
By the "logic" of "abortion fights poverty" it would be best to just slaughter everyone; 'cause then we'd have loads of money, right?
The facts of the matter are that killing people who will later be productive members of society is idiotic - not to mention evil.
