Hi Dom, is it okay if you do a comparison between this lens and the sigma 24-70 (non-HSM) lens? As I heard that the Sigma does better in terms of AF accuracy and the price difference shouldnt be that great, is it possible to do a comparison test? :)) Thanks!
hi dom, now i got 35mm 1,8, tokina 11-16, and after watch this video, i have an urge to buy this lens XD.. do you thing with this tamron, it gonna be a good combination for my lens??
3:25 I think the lens had such shallow DoF at 70/2.8 that it got Kim's eyelashes in focus but not eyeball. It still looks pretty sharp but there's not much in focus. So the green CA was in an out of focus bit, the bits in focus still looked nice.
BTW someone kissed the bottom of your lens hood, but I'm guessing you already noticed.
@olyezay sounds like a sweet combo there, remember the samyang is a manual focus only! my only other would be go wide angle like the tokina 11-16mm check out the blog for the reviews of that
@olyezay instead of the samyang take a look at the canon 50mm f1.8. Sharp little lens for the price, can't go wrong really. I picked one up for $80 AUD on ebay new.
Not relevant to the video but heyho...I have a 550d and have a chance to either buy two decent lenses or upgrade to my first full frame dslr (CANON EOS 1D MARK III or the Canon 5D mark II) I tend to shoot in lower light conditions so a higher iso camera may be better but I'd love to have 10fps with the 1D mark 2 as I sometimes shoot sport and my niece and nephew who run riot so 10fps would be handy.......
@PracticalGuitar 10fps will scare your niece. she will think you are shooting her with a machine gun! Do you have any glass that is any good on a full frame camera? my advice is get the glass then upgrade the camera.
what would be the counterpart of this lens in CANON? is it the 50mm?

@TheBbp001 check the blog, no chance of it being water sealed, dont think the nikon ones are either with the big extending barrel when zoomed in
