I think the actions of some are controlled by the person's personality. I think in a riot situation the police officers' actions would be diluted amongst the crowd.

This is when the police takes on a gang like structure and it's them vs us. It's sad to see.

I think it's easy to turn the Cops into faceless representations of "the Man" when they're really people. I see that thin line of Cops surge forward then stop, and I see a lot of people who are obviously charged with adrenaline, but also scared shitless. They are totally outnumbered by the crowd in front of them, and if that crowd charged them seriously, they would totally overwhelm the cops.

I think that that is the reason for a lot of violent incidents between police and protestors.

This was the plan all along; boil the kettle of protester adrenaline, get a reaction, hit back hard, make the news whatever you want it to be. The reality was we just wanted t go home peacefully.

that crowd had they flanked both sides when rushed, would have the police circled so the police could have been arrested peacefully.

take the arrested officers to a pre designated area so that they can be kept secure during their processing and safe until their trial.

Yes they looked happy to me too. I mean, i could see through thier visors and everythinhg. I even saw one officer type "im lovin this mate, it's well fun, there is nothing i like more than being on my feet for 15 hours and getting told my kids should die of cancer and getting spat at, its GREAT!" on his mobile phone.
