One square mile is equal to 481 Football fields. Give or Take. The fastest person in the World can barely run a 4 minutes mile, let alone cover a square mile of desert.
According to the host himself it was 17 acres, or roughly 11 Football fields. 481 football fields = 11 Football fields? Yeah, that seems about right.

There's earthquakes in CA all the time. You can look up Richter scale readings by year. There's a huge one every year. There's a potential for a huge one all the time.
