Hungarian legonaire , I though the French foriegn legion didn't exist anymore. Can you tell me more about this military ? I'm just curious. As to the ingersol lock, very badass. Great vid, but for the love of god
TURN THE FUCKING TV OFF. Or at least turn it down pleas
@wizwazzle Oh haha I see, sorry I thought your Ingersol Sargent & Greenleaf blast-proof shrouded was contracted for the military, but spelt wrong. Does the U.S Military use this device to date? I'm in The French Foreign Legion and haven't seen anything like this device in Le Légion étrangère or the Armée Française, (Foreign Legion or French Army).
Hey You are the person that made me really into the S&G. So I got a S&G 833. My question is where can I get the tool to rotate the pins to line up for the side bar?
hey wiz, i have a question about the whole liquid nitrogen part of this lock...if you submerged the lock and let it cool couldnt you just take a screwdriver and hammer and hit the core and after it shatters the locking bar falls the shackle will pop open? lol i have been wondering thought i would ask
The ceramic inserts are nothing to do with cryogenic attacks, it's to slow down portable disc cutters and carbide tipped tools, which otherwise would remove it in seconds.
The steel alloy used is resistant to shattering. That's how it resists both the low temperature attacks and the shatter effects of high explosives.
Also, I'd trust an Ingersoll 10 lever mech over the now compromised Medeco system.
Cool lock but if you have a strong person jimmy a smaller size like rebar but tougher that does not bend you could snap the shackle off with It getting it opened in seconds/ Most people are not strong enough cant' do it . Also can't use big bolt cutters not strong enough.
Yes i was incorrect i didnt know the lock must be on a very thick hasp it locks onto probabley have to pick Wiz Thanks for the info mabey you can only try to pick it Thanks Wiz,
are you sure thats a Biaxial core in that it looks like a Medeco Classic key to me and Medecos only have 3 different rotational angles for, center, and aft lol just some more corrections for ya
Cool video, very interesting lock. Are there any confirmed instances of someone being able to pick this thing? Ive searched around the internet and haven't seen anyone claiming to have picked it (yet).
Very good and clear lesson! 5 stars and many more! Thanks. Well, I also saw your clip about Cisa 220/50: I tried many times with one oh theese but with no success. Any suggest will be really appreciate! I'm italian, sorry for my english! Astrid
damn! that's gotta be the most secure lock in the world! ball bearings, heavy shroud, biaxial pins, liquid nitrogen protection, that's gotta be GREAT! but why is it an ingersoll/sargent & greenleaf with a medeco core? is it interchangeable like the LSDA?
lock from hell. the god of all locks. lets see it become one of the fallen to your awsome lockpicking skills! i have the 826D! its the sem only without a shackle cover.
dude u r crazy u r deff a lock expert if i ever need a lock expert you would deff be the person id call i guarantee if i took that lock to any locksmith in this state they would be clueless
Mate that is one fantastic padlock, it's always great to watch videos with heap's of upgraded info, and i don't care if you don't pick it, it's just a great padlock. Thanks 5*
Rocksrar! Very informative on a fascinating lock - hope to see that puppy get picked but wow nasty pins angling in all directions may be all but impossible. Great job on this vid!!

Did the Military also request that the spelling of "Sergeant" be spelt "Sargent" ? Which is wrong...
HungarianLegionnaire 5 months ago
@HungarianLegionnaire
No. this spelling is correct, as it is a common name, having absolutely nothing to do with the military rank of sergeant.

@HungarianLegionnaire no problem..=) the US military used the 831-b in the 80's and has since been replaced by the 833-C
as far as i know the FF legion uses Ingersoll 10'lever padlocks, but i could be mistaken..
i did a video breakdown of the 10-lever,if you search my vids....
(LOL by the way "spelt is spelled "spelled")
just kidding...thanks for watching.

spektek9 2 years ago
it would appear you are not familiar with the specs on this lock,or the way it works.
prying just tightens the mech, and the shroud prevents
bolt cutters.
dont matter how strong you are, even with a 4-foot
prybar you would be S.O.L.
these are used my the army to lock up ammo, guns, and explosive ordinance .
tested against MANY attacks.
no roid-monkey with a crowbar will open the S&G 831-B any time soon,...

Reposted as requested:
I like that you are trying to correct your mistakes from the last one, but a few things:
A)This is a S&G lock. They just used the design with permission from Ingersoll
B)It was NEVER available to the public
C)It never cost $1200
D)The government didn't have to order them in 10,000 quantities and placed much larger (and other size) orders
E)The government pays $156.03 for the 833 padlock (you seem in a number of comments to be confusing this lock and the 833 padlock)
scorche 3 years ago
F)The S&G 833 model has the double ball mechanism
G)The keys and cylinder you have and that are in all 831 padlocks are Original Medeco cylinders - not Biaxial
H)This does not have fore and aft pins (this was instroduced with Biaxial)
H)The ceramic elements are not for Nitrogen resisitance - ceramic actually shatters easily - it is there for extreme drill/cut resistance
There may be more, but this list will do until the next video ;)
scorche 3 years ago
S&G 831B use Medeco Original cores not Medeco Biaxial.

Would trimming the operating key work on a 826 render it into a control key?
It seems that the same scenario would apply.
Great tech review on the lock, Wiz!
