i downloaded it installed it i CAN find the skype icon in applications BUT it does nothing at all when i try to open it, its like empty icon only... whats the problem who knows what to do??????

I have a Nokia E66 3.5 G and skype installed and working only on text mode..(chat)...Why cant I see on skype like in this Nokia 98 the tab to make phonecalls? Only I see contacts and recent chats..

hey guys,better if u download nimbuzz or fring..u can also log in there ur skype account and make free calls..its for free as long ur calling skype to skype.and if ur in a wifi hotspots of course bcoz u need an internet connection.

It doesn't work on it's own. You have to pay for the service through Skype as either a monthly fee or a pay-as-you-go fee in order to use it. Although, you can use it simply as a chat client but, only if other people are running it as well. You have to set it up and, it will ask for all your access points and what network to connect to etc. Once you have that out of the way, you will need to sign up, register and pay the fee so you can make phone calls.

Not with this. It's only Skype out. Even if the device supports video calls, it won't work with Skype. Skype is not a full skype client. For that function, you would have to run the new Nokia N97 where, a full skype client is built in to the Symbian OS. There's a lot of controversy of whether Nokia is going to be forced to remove that new feature from all the US models shipped over here. Unlocked or not- they are being forced to remove it. Nokia confirmed that US models may be w/o Skype.

Any phone that supports net calls and SIP can make VoIP calls. But, it's NOT free. It requires the user to sign up for a VoIP service provider and have to pay a monthly fee for a virtual number or, you can pay as you go for pre-paid minutes which is 10.00 minimum reserve. Call charges are around 2 cents a minute. If both users have the exact same VoIP- In network is free- just like Verizon or AT&T. Same deal. To get Skype, you DL it, install it, pay a fee to use it. Pay as you go or subscribe.
