  • beautiful movie

  • I'll watch this after I finish the book. The Anna here looks so beautiful! What the name of the background music by the way?

  • I seem to be the only one who found tge book utterly boring. None of the relationships, affairs, or any conflicts for that matter interested me. Especially levin. I literally fell asleep a few times reading his story line

  • @yurkler I found Levin the most interesting! I think I identified with him. The book was much more pleasant to read than a predictable Dickens, or other Victorian era book.

  • @yurkler it all depeds on how you feel. when i'm depressed i like to read books about relationships, dramas and this like these. well...i didn't read that book but i think i'm gonna try it.

  • My dad loved this book so much that he named me Anne Karen ^_^

  • sad ending?

  • Baad quality *_*

  • Well I'm reading this now :)

  • i read anna karenina ...bt smhw i liked levin and kittys story more than anna n vronskys..........i reli like levin........supposedly the character levin ws drawn from leo tolstoy himself.......

  • @tanvikaparlikar307 I suppose that you are right; I think that in Levin Tolstoj tried to represent himself!

  • @eudemonologo oh yeah.....it was written in the introduction of one of the copies of the unabridged version.

  • there is a new version coming out with keira knightly and Jude Law.....i cant freakin wait to see this

  • @bodhisattva99 omg I had no sympathy for her either, I was ashamed of that feeling especially at the end but like you said she chooses and abandoning his son is a mistake no woman should make especially for a man love..glad you have the same opinion

  • @bodhisattva99 I guess they wanted the movie to be chocking but for me they just wasted a life...the book was more realistic than the film

  • @bodhisattva99 yep... yep, glad we understand each other...wonderful book.

  • When my mother finished Anna Karenina the first time, she immediately flipped back to the first page and read it all over again.

  • Reading this as a 16 year old it was a little eh but I found the parts with Anna, Dolly, and Stiva (basically all the parts that didn't involve Levin) interesting. The only bad thing I can say about this book is that the last 40 pages or so are horrifically boring.................God I thought it was going to be the most interesting part of the book but nope. After Part 7 I thought it would be mostly about Anna's actions at the end of Part 7 but he just skipped 2 months ahead........wtf :/

  • the book is genius !! great !!! definetly the book, wuold say it's not hard at all !!!

  • the movie is ruined by the actress playing an Anna Karenina part.

  • @jujubee1099 'Being with you is a realization of all my deepest desires'

    Thanks @sangepur :)

  • Oh my gosh that first line is sooo romantic! :)

I can't decide whether to watch the movie or read the book first.. which is the best??

  • @lafiglia100 definetly read the book...it's really not that hard as you would think, even if it has 800 pages, maybe I shouldn't have told u the number of the pages but I think u already know that it's a big novel

  • @lafiglia100 the book is the best of course!!

  • can any1 tell me wut he says at :40-:45 ?

  • love it

  • what's the name of the song starting at 1:37 untill the end?

  • @sangepur It's the final part of act two from Swan Lake - the part when the swan maidens are freed after Siegfried and Odette commit suicide.

  • this was a brilliant adaptation, and Sean Bean was so dashing *faint* :P

  • this is the 1997 version with sophie marceau.
