i been wanting to do a media pc setup with a case like this. aer there any issues i should know of??? i like to watch tv shows on from my pc on my tv via my ps3. do u think this case would allow me to do 5 big arrays and have a boot drive single and a slim dvd drive??
I find it quite amazing that read \ write operations for raid controllers coupled with windows seems to be exactly the same. It may be a Industry standard or something, but my 3ware 9550 SX 12 does the same thing @ 1:36 - Just before windows displays the logon screen (referring to server 03 specifically), it scans each drive, even tho as a logical volume there is only one drive, and then it rescans each hdd in port order.
@Noblc09 What do you mean with that? i think a little more info on this regard will be usefull!! is the case not solid? its bad for you because uses sata conectors instead on 8088 conectors? the materials used are bad? the backpanels drop the drives?
@DarthPincho The Drive bays are no fun to deal with, also 4 of the back plane slots were DOA and one kept dropping the drive. Also cable management was no fun with the SATA and power.
:) Two things .. I am a HDD addict, it seemes everytime I surfe the Egg or head into Fry's, I end up seeing a good deal on a HDD and pick one up. Second, I put them into a windows home server box, and then rip DVDs to that and serve up my movies to my HTPCs.
This actually seems very quiet. Did you modify the fan setup in any way?
