What used to be debilitating conditions have now been defined more broadly to include merely hyper and unruly children. This only encourages kids, letting them know that they have no control over this behavior because of a supposed condition. Then they never improve like they can.

I don't think they're in it for the free medical care, but I don't understand why there has been a huge rise in autism diagnoses. The same with mental illnesses like bipolar. I think these "disorders" used to be considered a person's personality or temperament. They did not even exist as definitions until recent times.
Michael Savage is a genius. He says the things other people are thinking. I have client's that get SSI for their supposedly autistic kids and bring them to the office and the kids seem fine. I think it is overdiagnosed often. So is ADHD. Michael Savage wrote a book called Healing Children Naturally that has helped me with my kids. A little change in diet caused a huge change in behaviour.

Michael Savage is a genius. He says the things other people are thinking. I have client's that get SSI for their supposedly autistic kids and bring them to the office and the kids seem fine. I think it is overdiagnosed often. So is ADHD. Michael Savage wrote a book called Healing Children Naturally that has helped me with my kids. A little change in diet caused a huge change in behaviour.

my school told my mom to medicate my adhd. my mom never saw a problem with me until the school suggested it. it took my fun life and turned me zombie. until i kept flushing them down the toilet every morning. thanks education system

Xcorgi is right...and the mercury is hugely responsible for the "ADD" issues as well as in older people it brings on mental issues including alzheimer's and parkinsons with the help of such things as flouride and aluminum and then you can include weak bodies of children brought on by cadmium and lead, all of which are found in drinking water from a city processing plant.... tap water.

@TheFryrocket I think Yayo said it best. If your kid exhibits the true signs of autism then he isn't talking about your child. He's talking about kids who are diagnosed with Asperger's or similar "mild cases" of autism. The only requirements for having Asperger's is above normal intelligence, an affinity for one field of study or whatnot, and they're awkward with other people. I don't know about the intelligent people you know but all I know must have Asperger's... or it's a scam/excuse.

Sadly, there are people who believe both of these idiots on this and many other issues. Alexander Hamilton was correct, people are too easily swayed by demagogues and dictators. What we are witnessing in the rise of men like Savage (and Beck) is the result of a breakdown in the education system at all levels and the erosion and eventual fall of democracy. They prey on people who cannot think for themselves and through their misinformation foster fear and hatred.

The same pharamecutical companies that lobbied to poison your water with fluoride also pay doctors to over diagnose and even create diseases out of thin air to line there pockets. I certainly believe that social welfare programs are to blame for many of our issues and problems today in America, I am not a Liberal nor am I conservative: I am a human being. with a mind and a heart, I am a Patriot of the American Constitution who believes in less government. We grow weaker as Americans by the minute, much due to many becoming dependent on the government to "provide" for them.
