this is a disgrace to archie comics. first of all, archie has no freckles in this show! second, jughead isn't clumsy and goofy, he's very witty and cunning. as everyone has said, veronica's accent is absolutely horrifying...but not only that, archie's, jughead's and even reggie's voices are so...bleh! only betty sounded okay, and just barely.

Ha! That's veteran character actor Howard Morris as the voice of Jughead! He was a regular on Sid Ceaser's 50's TV show. Later he was a semi regular on "The Andy Griffith Show" as dim wittted but brick throwing Ernest T Bass. I recall all those Archie Saturday morning cartoons from the 60's & 70's but never watched 'em much.

it's funny they gave her -veronica-a southern voice since in the very first introduction she was portrayed at a new york debutant and in later cartoons the accent was gone. I forgotten she'd sounded like this because of that and it being 30 years since I've seen these original cartoons. I like the weird mysteries format of the new cartoons best, there was another series before it that followed it's writing to the current comic I refuse to read since 1985. Only like 'em up to 1980.
