If it had been a person that murdered your mother would you be complaining that the cop drove on the other side of the road? No It's just another example of police putting the public at risk unnecessarily. The driver had no choice to avoid a head on collision. The officer was wrong! He could have maintained the pursuit. without the undue risk.

The SIU investigates the police. Or else that would be biased (and I know you would agree with me since you stated it yourself in your previous comment). The SIU is a civilian agency responsible for police actions, so if the police did anything suspicious or wrong, it would be the SIU who would investigate, not the police themself.

But for sure there are times and there have definitely been cases where the chase should have been called off. If you say your 100% percent right all the time then you are not talking in an educated manner.
