  • Great Great song, shit video

  • Two Words. Awesome

  • My stomach does that too sometimes when im hungry..

  • Cant believe this song has not got over 1000000 views yet:O

  • yo Karnivool fans, check out our swedish sauna film clip! - Friendly Yen first single " The Colour" we worked with the Forrester Savell, the man responsible for the KArnivool albums!

  • These guys are pretty damn impressive...yes, this sounds like very commercial stuff, but, these guys are on the writing level of Tool, Floyd, and other great writers.

  • Saw Karnivool a month ago, hadn't seen them live before and it was a kickass show

  • The drummer is Steve Judd or NOT????

  • @Mauchimaza No, this was before he joined the band. I'm not sure if the guy here was one of their temporary drummers or just some studio guy.

  • Haha, the bassist must have the poorest shoes for a music video ever. ^^

    Gotta love the song though!

  • Fucking awesome!!!

  • Love Love Love Karnivool

  • On ketamine this is epic in all sense of the word!!!! \m/

  • Check us out! New song and live videos up! Influences from Tool, Alter Bridge, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, H.I.M, etc...

  • @SettingCircles When you mentioned Tool and Alter bridge, i kinda had no choice

  • these guys are kick ass!!!

  • great song and band! It reminds me Disturbed

  • Wow this is a lot different to Sound Awake. good in a different way

  • @peanutbuttercrunc100 I totally agree, Karnivool are a great band, but music, on all levels is an extremely subjective art form. Sounds are different to every individuals ears, so some "idiots" may feel this sounds generic or same-ish. Let them have their hard core alternative/ whatever sound music, don't let them piss you off, and just enjoy the music that sings to your soul.

  • I only heard of this band after the guys from BoO mentioned them as their favorite band. Damn, these guys are beyond epic!

  • From my hometown, Perth Australia :)

  • Also lol'ing at the scream at the end. This is an awesome song. By an incredible band.

  • does the thing on his head remind any one else of saw :P love this song tho :D

  • that is such a freaky mask

  • F*ck!! i'm on LSS!!

  • LOL at the ending :LLL

  • @cpete2475 Haha, I LOL'ed too.

  • watta drummer!!! soo relaxed!!

  • good stuff not bad at all!! gonna c them at magnums in airlie beach!

  • This is paintballer music.

  • 2:58 - GET UUUUUPPPPP!

  • I thought these guys were generic, overrated, too reliant on chorus...UNTIL i actually sat down and listened to their music closely. There's alot goin on there. Very talented band.

Take it seriously and u'll c y they're so "overhyped"

  • well overated

  • @philipjterry how the hell is this overrated? barely anyone knows this song, let alone this band. shut up.

  • @betterbutterstutter ok so you want an argument - I will give you one.... Define specifically what is so great musically and lyrically about it? I would sooner just switch straight over to blink182. For one I can't even remember the tune.

  • @philipjterry musically, it is very plain to see that. lyrically, do you even know or hear the lyrics? if you did you would understand. oh, and blink182 sucks.

  • @betterbutterstutter

I agree, they are more underrated if anything.

    True geniuses.

  • @betterbutterstutter People are great arent they. Love how others think on their OWN... ha what a joke.

  • D: this is the short version...

  • Anyone know where the dialog comes from? Like when the girl says "It's not my fault."

  • What a great song! Plus the free banter between Mikeydp416 and TJvigilante is most amusing. 8/10 for this page.

  • @TrishGoat42 hahaha, agreed. but i'm going 10/10 because this song is amazingly amazing.

  • @BCarterGuitar That ending scream is BRUTAL!, or BRUTALS (if you are skwisgar from dethklok ;), that whole song is so mudvayne, i love it!.

  • @TrishGoat42 haha thank you, I'm glad I could entertain :P unfortunately I have decided to be the bigger man and just walk away (figuratively of course).

  • @mikeydp416 Oh no doubt Incubus is insanely talented and original but I guess I just like the sound from vool just a little bit more but I have liked incubus for a long time no disrespect for an awesome bad or someone with good musical taste such as yourself

  • @voolfan92 Oh, I have misunderstood. I was under the impression that you were saying something slanderous about THE Incubus haha :P If you couldn't tell I'm a huge Incubus fan :) Also, I thank you for the compliment as it is much appreciated.

  • How is it that this band is getting so popular now? They sound like every other "nu-metal"-band inte the beginning of the millenium. (Taproot, Chevelle etc).

Dont get me wrong. It's not bad music. But it is nothing new and groundbreaking

  • @azwethinkweis

This is their first album, listen to their second, it is much more prog-like. It is called Sound Awake. Listen to songs like Goliath and Simple Boy.

  • @PJenkinss Hell, just look at the rest of Themata...Cote, Fear of the Sky, Roquefort. Nothing generic about them.

  • @azwethinkweis i like your name... <3 incubus hahahaha

  • Seriously, what are these related videos??? :D:D:D Evanescence, Lady Gaga, alterDistrict feat. Rózsás Magdolna... :D LOL

  • this really isnt my style of music but damn those guitars sound beautiful

  • sorry. haven't listened to it for 5 years at least. it's not like he sings those words all through the song...if at all. sounds like a tasmanian devil for most of it. thanks for the speedy reply tho! zzzzzzz

  • i like! live nu metal... Yeah

  • chills at 2:50.

  • It's called creating atmosphere. If you want an atmosphere full of tension and discomfort, to go with the lyrics, you're going to use creepy sounding fills. Tool doesn't have a monopoly on creepy fills.

  • @zxl345 Except the lack of heavy drum and bass beats. Oh you think carrying a guitar note is only done by Tool and bands who want to sound like Tool? You're the tool.

  • Disturbed (rhythm) Korn (vocals) Chevelle (sound)

  • @belodeau if you think anything about these vocals sounds like Korn, you're out of your mind.

  • @TJvigilante

you're right, i meant (in this one song) the pentameter- or the rhythmic quality of his delivery, (more like Disturbed than Korn) not the tonal sound. also the desperate, passionate quality.

  • it's true, the voice came from the stomach! LoL

  • Hey, I think this is that same warehouse in the trainyards in Midland where they had one of the Hyper Winterfests and I saw these guys live. That was an awesome day.

  • This vid is jawsome !!!

  • This vid is jawsome !!!

  • @ckreticeland true, but in this case it is.

  • oh yes and one more thing, PulseMonkey1 you are in the minority of people who think Tool is a shit band, congratulations *sarcastic*

  • @peanutbuttercrunc100 minority isn't always a bad thing smart guy

  • JohnDeth until you actually LISTEN to Karnivool, your opinion is invalid. This is not even their best work, but unlike some other idiots who said its generic, it isnt. Next time get your facts straight before you diss on a talented band like Karnivool, thanks.

  • @peanutbuttercrunc100 can u PM me top 5 of their song pls

  • how good would've a karnivool touring thematta been with exit ten with remember the day

  • Yes, nothing like Tool, whoever makes that inane bridge between the bands to a shit band like Tool is a Thick Foreheaded drooler waiting to happen, oh on a plus note, this song rocks, you people are retards :D Why don't you gently but with purpose, fuck off to the Bieber tunes where your comments would be appreciated by your 9 year old clueless peers ;)

  • wow, it's like they keep giving the same shitty band a new set of faces, an overly expensive incredibly bad video then rely on television and the radio to build a fan base of zombies since nobody in the club scene would ever support this crap enough to make them famous and wealthy.

  • @JonDeth Well to be honest, this is probably Karnivools weakest, most generic song.

  • @JonDeth I'm a big fan of Karnivool but I agree this is not 1 of their best songs.

  • @JonDeth lmfao ok so the people into the club scene are the most intelligent kinds of people :P

  • @Believethat in terms of live music, you are usually dealing with people on a local level that do not watch much tv or listen to much radio, if at all. So at least they are thinking for themselves rather than being manipulated by the corporations.

Stupid people in the club scene are in sports bars and dance clubs.

I still hear shit left and right being called metal because it has really heavily distorted guitars, palm mutes and junting when it's really just pop music in a Halloween costume.

  • @JonDeth karnivool do not define themselves metal i actually met the singer and he doesn't get why people say they are a metal band check out there newer songs and you'll understand what i mean, in particular "all in know"

  • gooooooooooooooooooood song....

  • waits its not even the band????????????????

  • doesnt look like steve judd?

  • It is weird seeing the old drummer...still an amazing tune and no Vool is so much more.....genius...than incubus with all due respect..I am a big incubus fan but They do not hold a candle....

  • @voolfan92 True... As long as you admit they do a pretty good job of trying to =P

  • @voolfan92 I have to respectfully disagree, every member of Incubus is VERY talented and together they write very unique and masterful music. Brandon boyd is among the best lyricists and vocalists both. Most people will think of Drive, Pardon Me, Steller, I Wish You Were Here, etc but they offer SO much more that people don't commonly know. I would suggest watching Incubus Live @ Red Rocks, solid and undeniable proof that they are all extremely talented, as much as they may choose not to show it

  • very good ;*

  • LMAO the scream at the end... I lolled :D

  • awesome song....reminds me of new skin by Incubus a little bit

  • @jocorocket. i will not have you slander 'vool by comparing them to the toss that is incubus without some form of reprimand.

    Shame On You!

  • really nice song but i don't get the videoclip

  • *Thumbs up* :D

  • If you're going to compare, I hear early Taproot in this. Great band though. Unfortunately, I think this is their best track.

  • @TheNippleTassle I def hear some taproot in there

  • omg this is so beautiful, awesome, i love it!

  • Ian wears etnies :)

  • what...a...song...can't ..stop....listening ....

  • Damn, these guys have grown so much as a band since this song.

  • i hear a lil tool but not enough to compare

  • yhey do not sound like tool they are good i love both tool and karnivool

  • @MnogoSamTePozelela I feel it is pretty obvious that there are many similarities to tool in Karnivools music. I Grew up with tool and as a musician, I here stuff all the time from both bands that reminds me of each other.

  • @mikeydp416 I haven't heard much from this band that reminds me at all of Tool. I even listened to everything by Tool in one sitting followed by all of Themata and Sound Awake...totally different. I think you're just an idiot.

  • @TJvigilante Haha, well that's your opinion. I don't know if you just don't LIKE Tool or what but from a technical musical standpoint, there are many similarities. You can troll all you want, but between the obviously similar taste in time signatures, guitar/bass tone, and vocal styles, I think that you sir, are blind. And/or should stick to mindless music that doesn't require much thought and leave analyzing music to the musicians.

  • @mikeydp416 So progressive time signatures are a Tool propriety? Musical tone is a Tool propriety? Even when only a couple of their songs actually have a similar "tone" as Tool's signature sound? Vocal styles are also quite different...Maynard sounds quite unique, and Ian Kenny sounds nothing like him. At all.

And how would being "blind" have anything to do with me recognizing similarities bin MUSIC? I'm sure you mean deaf, which as a musician should have been your first thought. Moron.

  • @TJvigilante It is simply the fact that there are similarities in ALL THREE of those catagories that makes me say this. I understand that being similar in one or two ways does not make bands alike, and that signatures other than 4/4 are not exclusive to Tool. In many instances Karnivool uses guitar AND/OR bass tone and even rhythms similar to that of Tool. As for vocal style, not tone or sound but STYLE. The breakdown of Goliath for instance, which actually does have a bit of a Maynard tone.

  • @mikeydp416 One part of ONE song "has a bit" of Maynard tone, and all of a sudden they're a Tool clone band? Are you kidding me? I guess after listening to Scarabs I'm going to call them a Mudvayne clone band...there's more of a similarity in the ENTIRE song with Mudvayne than there is in Goliath with Tool. Please, you're digging a big fucking hole for yourself. Move on. little tidbits of slightly similar sounds does not a clone band make. The overall feel of Karnivool is much different.

  • @TJvigilante MUDVAYNE ARE FUCKING SICK!, i also love thses guys.

  • @TJvigilante And while you clearly have no intention to keep this civil, I'll stoop to your level briefly. Propriety? That word is irrelevant and makes no sense in either of those sentences, even the horribly incomplete one. As for my choice of the word "blind" yes that is what I meant. Used figuratively in the same context as "do you SEE what I mean?" or "Can you SEE how music has changed over the years?" Things you cannot physically see, but perceive. This is common in most vernacular.

  • @mikeydp416 So you get caught in your stupidity and decide to attack my grammar to make up for it. Blast the english language for having two very similar words (propriety and proprietary...it's not hard to make that leap from adjective to noun...excuse the shit out of me, I didn't consult a thesaurus before typing, unlike you). Either way...you're wrong. Time signatures, "vocal style", and bass tone aren't UNIQUE to any one band. And very few of their songs have similarities in all three.

  • @TJvigilante HAHAHA okay for one, I never said Karnivool was a clone band of Tool. Why don't you look back on the conversation. Two: It's not the fact that you said Propriety instead of Proprietary, it's the fact that you clearly don't know the definition of EITHER XD haha either one makes no sense, and I didn't have to look it up because I'm a writer, english is what I do. Three: I'm not digging anything, as I was not the one to turn this into a huge deal, if you recall, that was you when you

  • called me an idiot. I entered this little debate with the intention of a civilized exchange of opinions under the false pretense that (maybe) you were a mature adult. In this I will admit fault and say good day to you. The miniscule amount of pride gained from winning an elementary debate on youtube is not worth the time I have already wasted on this damn page. Good luck in your quest to be right about everything, I hope one day you gain some integrity.

  • 0:35 i love this moment,i love this song, I LOVE KARNIVOOL !!!

  • am i the only one how think is trapt within korn and little bit tool...

  • @Hakkenslassen Nah you're just the only one who makes fuck all sense.

  • 5- ;)

  • @vilewills Das stimme ich dir zu!

  • The music is beautiful, its so lifellike these guys didnt play this song when they were in munich last month, but miss them all the same,,,,, cheerss,,,,,

  • @Kiwicheese2 war trotzdem ne geile setlist ;-)

  • listen to this and play mortal kombat =epic

  • Their best song....my personal favourite. I simply love Karnivool....

  • The reason Karnivool isn't big in the US (and I'm 99% sure of this) is that this type of music which is widely considered nu-metal was big in the late 90s to the early 2000s so now we are stuck with pop rock garbage that floods the airwaves now. They won't make it in America (I think) because all the record labels will consider them old music and will either not want to pick it up or not risk picking it up. Face it America is the capital of music in the world when it comes to money and exposure

  • @420Guitar420 I agree. I miss the 90s rock-metal. Good singing is becoming a rare commodity in the mainstream music business..both rock and hip-hop. This video reminds me of how singers nowadays use technology to make their music "sound better".

  • @zxl345

    nothing like Tool

  • @karenbface I reckon they shit all over Tool personally. Yes, Tool have some genius songs, but the majority of their albums sounds like they've been too stoned to realise that what they're producing is drivel.

  • @karenbface you cant say nothing like tool. thats stupid. they are a lot like tool, accept it
