Tonight, I watched this again, and I thought... soon I wont see these people anymore, and I cried again. How could you not? ATWT was CBS best and longest running show ever! over 70 years! ATWT even started on radio, before TV! Soon Ill have to part, but this memory will always remain! We will avenge the death of ATWT !!!!

Uh, not exactly. Never on radio (you're thinking of Guiding Light ) which was the longest running show. 2nd longest is ATWT with 54 television years at the time it will stop airing. But don't blame CBS for the cancellation -- blame the producers for not being able to produce a high quality and entertaining show so that the viewers would continue to watch. I watched from 1978-99 and I STILL miss the fantastic show that it once was!

Can't believe it's ending. It's always been there and I thought it always would be there. This is so wrong. CBS doesn't realize it is taking away a family tradition from millions of families across the US.

I still haven't cried, but I know I'm gonna the day I accidentally turn the TV on at 2:00 and it's not there like it should be.

I have never watched ATWT, but I think this theme was one of the best of any soap opera....ever. Why would they ever change?

It's odd how things happen to someone. I haven't been faithful to this show since 1998 except for sampling some episodes here, yonder, and there. The show itself has been unwatchable for 10 years now, and when this theme appeared I didn't care for it then (probably because the show was awful). But now that they've moved to yet another opening which I think is worse than horrible, THIS version seems so beautiful to me now -- music and pictures. Go figure....
