  • all i know is i will always wonder how she is doing, i will always hope she is happy and doing well in life, i always would say something like "ill see you again one day" i think i meant is i will always think of you. what a fucked up thing.

  • the girl was never mine but i still cared for her in a way i dont fully understand. i hadn't heard from her in a few years, for awhile we hung out all the time, and i felt a connection with her i have yet to have had with anyone thus far in my life, doubt i ever will, i hadn't heard from her in a few years untill a few months ago, she found me on Facebook, she still lives around here, she still has a somebody and so do i, never really sure exactly what i meant to her.

  • How times have changed over the last 30 years. Now drinking in a car is viewed much as copulating in a public park with two trannies and a teenaged catamite would be in the 1950's.

  • I suspect there are a lot of marriages that start off as "second best." I daresay a lot of them do turn into genuine love over the years, though.

  • @althesmith where the is hope there is happiness.¬ "Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder" ...

    - Henry David Thoreau

  • I love the slight pause after "just for a moment I was back at school." So many memories can fit into such a short pause.

The end about the snow changing to rain sounds like a haiku:

    Then on Christmas Eve

as my old lover drove off

    the snow became rain.

  • wonderful song

  • Heard this song around Christmas and just had to find out who sang it. Imagine my surprise. It's now a part of my playlist. A nice bittersweet song by the late great Dan Fogelberg.

  • great vid, well done!!

    whata song!!

  • What a great song, and well done photo montage telling the story.

    Thanks for sharing

  • surprisingly this is my all time favorite christmas/new years eve song.. we tend to forget about the year that has passed around this time and look forward to the new.. but when it comes to relationships.. be it dating or family.. this song forces me to remember those times.. will always be my favorite.

  • Auld Lang Syne... not OLD

  • @DannieJo33 Same thing, different language

  • @SpotterOz I know it's the same thing. I guess the original way this song was written doesn't really matter.

  • A rare true story told by the late great dan, filled with sadness and and introspection really a diary of life told as the snow flakes fall in the background. this gem will disappear again till early dec next year when we open up lifes many paged diary again .

  • Video could be better but I was just telling a friend on the Christmas Eve that this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE Holiday song............Isn't really Christmas music yet that seems to be the only time they play it on the radio! WHY? I love the years 1991 and 1992. 1993 SUCKED !! Oh well Feliz Navidad Merry Christmas!!

  • Nice video.

  • The problem with this video, is that everybody is young. It's not what he was saying.
