  • Will a Yenox button fit?

  • Will IL fit?

  • have u done anything on a ps3 controller pcb. confused on wether or not to keep membrane or sauter a 8.5 resistor on it. need help shinjn srk

  • any thoughts on using a suzo stick in in the te? ive recently tried out my friend custom stick that uses one and the short throw of the suzo's feel really nice

  • So can you even use Happ comp. buttons? I mean, isn't there some sort of work around about that stupid tab/grounding out issue?

  • what about yenox buttons? arent they somewhat shorter than happ?

  • sanwa is the best!

  • I don't see why anyone would change out the sanwa parts.. I thought sanwa was supposed to be one of the best arcade parts? why switch it?

  • A lot of people prefer Happ to Sanwa. I'm one of those people. My modded X-Arcade stick finally works on the XBox 360 otherwise I'd buy the Madcatz stick and mod it.

  • People looking for Happ parts please do NOT buy the brand name HApp parts get the ones branded IL.

Also if you want a good Happ stick look up MAS systems or get a Street Fighter Anniversy Stick modded. Arcade in a box will also build you a custom stick if you don't mind waiting a long time.

  • is it possible to change the balltop into the american style bat while keeping the sanwa joystick??

  • I believe Sanwa sells a bat top stick top for the JLF sticks.

  • Does the regular and TE stick use the same stick? I want an 8 way restrictor in a regular stick which I might order... but can't find any info on the stick inside.. what could replace it? Which models? is a JLF-TP-8T from lizardlick ok?

  • Thank you very much for this video. I prefer happ stuff and was going to crack open my TE stick and give it a shot. You saved me a lot of time.

Is there any 360 stick you can recommend for easy modding with a happ stick? I'd make my own but I have tried soldering before but I killed at least 5 controllers with failure. I just can't do it.

  • huh doesnt it come with sanwa parts which are great anyway ?

  • good video and info. this is why you better off buying a whole new set of happ arcade joystick and parts than going through the hassle of modding it.

  • Thanks, I was thinking about modding my TE stick to have a happ stick but I'm glad you posted this video, I'm just going to keep it as is. Thanks for saving me hours of trouble!

  • i think for Happ stick to be installed in TE body, isnt it better just to build a new metal or plexi-glass cover so they can just mount its Happ stick into it. and for the buttons, i still remember they have the vertical microswitch instaed of horizontal ones. it might fit thru the holes

  • ShinhnSRK,

Is there really no way to get a Happ stick into a SE box? I'm planning on buying a SE box specifically to mod it for my PS3!

  • There is no way. The Happ body is as tall as the SE case itself. If you want a Happ joystick, I suggest making your own. It's not really worth the effort to get a Happ into an SE.

  • It would probably be easier to just put a bat top on the sanwa stick. and then replace the gate with whatever shape you prefer

  • To elaborate more on this, if you are looking to get a stiffer feel in the joystick along with the bat top, you can use the spring mod where you add an additional spring to the JLF. akihabarashop has a video on youtube that shows you how to do it.

  • Is there a reason the HAPPs are so long?

  • HAPP buttons are generally used on american style arcade cabinets. The cabinets have panels that are pretty thick. It usually ranges from 3/4" to 1" so the buttons need to be long.

  • Ah, makes sense. Thanks.

  • I bought the TE stick after hearing S-Kill saying in an interview that there was enough room dug out so that you could insert any kind of stick, namely a HAPP Comp. Also, why are the holes under the button section not compatible with HAPP buttons? Do the Sanwa buttons reach down that far since they are not that tall in the first place?

  • Yeah I hear from Seth talking about Happ stick into the TE stick too, lol Now its wont fit..that funny.

  • interesting....All the vids were great. I plan to use these vids as much guidance once I start to mod my stick...

  • Wow. Each video gets better and better. Great info!!!

  • i personally don't like happ. wouldn't it be easier to have a new metal plate instead? haha

  • Yes it would. Getting one made is another story.

  • I want you to show me how Korean sticks will fit in here. Do a Fanta next please.

  • Please! I want this to be shown, too, since I purchased a Fanta stick from laugh.

  • If I had access to other parts, i would have shown them in the video. If someone wants to donate parts to me, I'll make a followup video.

  • Actually, could I pay you to mod my stick (if it comes to that)? You could also use it in a video, if you want.

  • What sort of mods are you looking at? Send me a youtube message and we can discuss this further.

  • great info, thanks for the efforts

  • great preview

  • Stupid question but..the button are put in through the top right? I have my Sanwa buttons waiting for my fight stick to arrive...will get whatever jlf later ( I have never played on a square gate and wanna test it out before I buy Sanwa stick)...

  • Yes, buttons are inserted through the top.

  • what HAPPen?

  • good shit

    im gonna make it happen

  • ffffffffffffuuuuuuuu not worth modding to an happ/iL stick, just pick up a bat top or go with the 15th anniversary

  • call MarkMan!
