  • Life begins when you accept your fate!

  • nice song!

  • Sup folks, I'm a new fan of Bad Religion and this song is their best in my opinion. Can some of you tips me of other songs they made that reminds me of this?

  • @TheX3meGuitar Well, I'd say give Punk Rock Song, American Jesus, God's Love and Walk a go. Other than that, listen to Infected (best song in my opinion), Sorrow, Let them Eat War, Modern Man and God's Song....ahh, bullshit, listen to everything by 'em^^

  • @BizzyBenedikt41 thanx man

  • @TheX3meGuitar Everything they have written is good. EVERYTHING!

  • @punkrockyankee well in your opinion maybe but everybody got different taste

  • @TheX3meGuitar You think?

  • @punkrockyankee My opinion so far is that The Process of Belief is they're best album.

  • @TheX3meGuitar I love that album. Great album. It is hard for me to pick a favorite album because every one of them in my opinion is as good as the next. If I had to pick a favorite then I would say... Against the Grain. I was 13 when I heard that album from my friends older brother. It was the first Bad Religion album I had ever listened to and I rocked that cassette copy as hard as I could. Drove my Mother NUTS!!!

  • @punkrockyankee almost exactly the same story as me, first heard bad religion at 13 and i still listen to them now at the age of 24.... not many things last 11 years in my life, but they have! good music is endless!

  • @Mrnickwan I am 33 now and I still go to a lot of punk shows but I NEVER miss Bad Religion when they come to town. They are a great show every time they play. They are a great band even after 30 years. Saw them at the House of Blues in 2010 when they did the 30 Years Live tour. Great show!

  • @TheX3meGuitar if it's not their best, it's damned close

  • The Holy Trinity: Greg Graffin, Batman, Boba Fett. All parts of the same one true God!

  • I will run in place! In a human rat race!

  • holy offspring kids arent alright shit! hahah. what is this from?

  • This sounds exactly like the chorus of THe Offsprings Kid's aren't alright. :O First time I can say a BR song sounds like someone else's.

  • @Frengerspotting newsflash bro, every socal punk band uses that chord progression. doesnt make it any less rad though

  • @luciditythruireNYHC It's not the chord only. The singing part is pretty much similar. every social punk band uses it? I have heard exactly two songs that sound like this. And i've listened to punk all my life. I'm not saying that you can't be right but it just sounds weird to me.

  • @Frengerspotting thats the first thing i thought when i heard this song...chorus sounds just like the 'kids arent alright'.. which song came out first?

  • @jehkjshrfk Offspring released it in 1998 and this song was released in 2002.

  • At first I thought Greg was making up new words. I have a new theory: Greg secretly invented every word in the english language.

  • Best song ever!!

  • @MacMan5555 fuck you you stupid fucking moron. Firstly, if you really think hitler was doing that for god, your a retard. Secondly, blurting random obscenities in anger makes you seem like a weak fuckin pussy ass teenager, so shut the fuck up. And thirdly, what part of that was thought out? Talk sense and maybe you'd get taken seriously. Also, why would you even want that on YouTube? Get a life you little bitchass pussy.

  • Good GOD, I keep forgetting that actually, this is probably the best song in the world.

  • absolute, bad religion is a different sound

  • No< the offspring sound a bit Bad religiony

  • That Shattered Faith logo you have going on there the jist of the song doesn't belong to Bad Religion btw, there is actually a punk band called Shattered Faith in Orange County...pretty good if you ask me! :) check em out on myspace

  • this sounds like the kids aren't alright by the offspring

  • @altinkond It does sound pretty Offspring-y.

  • Regarding the Christianity debate, Bad Religion's band members have repeatedly said they didn't intend to single out Catholicism. Rather the logo was anti-establishment, anti-herd mentality, anti- dogma. Can you think of many other symbols which would've worked as well?

  • @halleck3 - Star of David ... you get accused of anti-semitism. Crescent and star ... you get a fatwa. As usual, Jesus takes the heat. LOL

  • Is there any band better in the world than bad religion? FUCK NO! I've been in love with this band since I first heard them when I was 12 back in 93 when mtv had music on it. Prior to that, id never thought there was anyone else that felt the way I did. Mad props to the greatest punk rock band of all time, and for providing the soundtrack to my life.

  • This song is unbelievably good. It's really an injustice that this was never released as a single, even if it did happen to sound like another popular (and I would argue, not as catchy) song.

  • it was only out on punk o rama 8, i have a rare copy of No Substance "B sides" and its the shit. it has the song Leaders and Followers which was in the movie Clerks. super rare

  • One of my fave BR songs! \m/

  • cool soooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg

  • I'm a huge Bad Religion fan and i hadn't heard this song till youtube. Great song, and so fitting for today. Ill be pushing this song on everyone. Lets hear it for B-Sides!

  • @drg19841 Same here on the not-hearing-this-'til-YouTube. That's true for me however from every album after The Gray Race. I'm not sure I like calling myself a 'fan' but let's say I was a constant listener of their older songs for a LONG time. They're in my top 3 all-time(and yes I'm sure I mean ALL time) favorite bands.

  • This song ought to be the anthem of today's generation. Truer lyrics are rarely sung about the state of the world, and it goes with a badass and catchy riff that draws you in with its sense of familiarity, and I can listen to it over n over! This SO should have been a hit!

  • @SkynyrdGirl it is a hit

  • this may be my fav BR song ever. But it will probably be another BR song in a week or so. lol

  • Have to point out that Bad Religion is far older than the Offspring (I know because I'm exactly the same age as the former), and the song you refer to of the Offspring is VERY reminiscent of a Motorhead song, which pre-dates both. Also, BR has the integrity to own up to homages, like the closing lines of "21st Century Digital Boy" (the lines overtop the harmony) where they quote the similarly-titled but very different, "21st Century Schizoid Man" of King Crimson ("Cat's foot, iron claw..."etc)

  • is there another song simiar to this one because i heard it earlier today and now i cant find it, this song sounds similar tho....

  • @Xgreen212 well the chorus sounds a lil similar to the offsprings the kids arent alrights chorus

  • sorry, i should have said "greater than others..." instead of "more great than..." . lol. terrible grammar.

  • these guys just cannot produce crap. everything they do is great, but some songs are more great than others. absolutly amazing band through and through for 30 years.

  • never heard this song before from BR ... cool its really authentic

  • Sorry folks,God is real !!

He goes by Greg Graffin on this planet.

Fat Mike is really the one true Messiah, yes Jesus Christ himself.

and Im pretty sure Danzig's the devil.

  • @lesserGodplease

Would that make Brody Dalle Lillith, or Jezabel?

  • @Flanker345 Lilith...definately Lilith for she scares me

  • @lesserGodplease tis type of post is retarded.

  • @adammurphy you realize Greg Graffin is the singer in this band?

If you realized that and still think what he said was retarded, then you must not respect Greg Graffin.

    I mean god.

  • @adammurphy Your type of post is retarded.

  • @lesserGodplease I believe that Bieber is somehow the antichrist.

  • i can't say what i fell listening that song

  • this song is amazing... but could i have expected anything less from bad religion

  • anyone else read graffins book "anarchy evoloution"?

  • @metalcoma666 I want to buy it... where can it be purchased please!?

  • @YaWantTaters on there website, goto store...both his books are on there.15$ and 20$.

  • @lesserGodplease Sorry if this seems like picking on you, I'm not, rather I'm unclear so I request: I think you meant 'their' instead of 'there'... but whose website do you mean, badreligion's or... where is the url please?

@metalcoma666 Major book stores are a diminishing resource in my community, they're going out of business and leaving the smaller ones standing which tend to carry only the very most popular authors and titles.

This tune is classic BR harmonies!

    Thanks for the informations.

  • @YaWantTaters bad religions official website

  • @YaWantTaters most major book stores i believe

  • Makes me think of Distiller's "I'm living on shatterd faith, kind that likes to restrict your breath"! Love this song

  • THIS SONG IS SOOOOOOOO BAD ASS!!!

    B-side?! This is awesome!

    Long live Bad Religion!

  • what about free will?

    do we have a voice?

  • Not really a B-Side, actually a bonus track on the Japan release. Got my mits on it too.

  • The song seems to be way longer then three minutes, probably because of the immense amounts of awesomeness.

  • I think Christian people musn't get offendend or upset for the lyrics of some bands.

In my opinion , bad religion with their song expose their own opnion and they do it in a fair way.

I'm a christian and i believe in God, but that doesnt forbids me to listen what i want, i love bad religion anyway ;D

And the song is cool XD

  • @DeadTrigger87

Being an atheist I can appreciate 100% your way of looking at it. Wish more religious people looked at it this way :-). btw Bad Relegion rulez ;-)

  • @DeadTrigger87 Christian listening to bad religion. dumb, idiot, illiterate? go away and keep talking to your ceiling and burning gay people.

  • @Raeafu Probably because im illiterate, are you try to tell me that i should leave?

  • @MacMan5555

jeez you take the internet seriously dont you... maybe you should do alot more researching and learn and think about what you just put up for the whole world to see...im not a huge religous person but i dont go around preaching and bitching about there being a god or not...chill out man and enjoy sum bad religion.

  • @DeadTrigger87 YOU FAIL AND ONE LAST THING...... PROVE THAT YOU BELIVE IN GOD AND A FUCKING AFTERLIFE IF YOU ACTUALY DO THEN KILL YOURSELF ON CAMMRA PROVE YOU BELIVE AND NO BULLSHIT "THAT IS A SIN" TYPE SHIT SHOW SOME BALLS PROVE YOUR DELISON CUNTWAGON

  • @DeadTrigger87 To me this song is about finding out that religion is bullshit and you've lost your faith

  • @DeadTrigger87 We must understand that there's difference between Christians and Fanatics.

  • @Hirashi90 thank you.

For get ny toughts and understand the situation in general

  • @DeadTrigger87 Or in other words, you love bad religion :)

  • Everyone should hear shai huluds cover of anesthesia

  • Greatest. Band. Ever. Greg graffin is brilliant. First album I heard was stranger than fiction in fourth grade.

"no bad religion song can make your life complete."?

    I disagree!

  • @hopedenial

No single Bad Religion song can make your life complete.

But their entire discography? Now, that's different question!

  • @NilasThomsen <---That might be the best comment I ever read on a BR vid. Bravo...:-) very well put sir

  • @NilasThomsen So say we all!

  • @scary288, i never realised that before but its weired that this my favourite bad religion song that is favourite offspring song. well spotted lol

  • @shayan78910 the crusades was a horrible bloody massacre if you call that spreading peace then there is something seriously wrong with you

  • Sounds like the Offspring had sex with Rise Against.

  • @RRODnDiRtY dude have you never heard Bad Religion before?

  • @RRODnDiRtY

Seeing as BR predate and were a (maybe *the*) major influence to both those bands, I think you've got things backwards here.

But, yeah, this song sounds a little like something the Offspring would do.

  • I have a new favorite song. I can't stop listening to it.

  • Try to sing the chorus with these words and you will discover something cool:

    Chances thrown

    Nothing's free

Longing for what used to be

    Still it's hard

    Hard to see

    Fragile lives, shattered dreams

  • @Scary288

I never heard that song before ever in my life.....unless you are referring to a Offspring song. Those Kids' Were Never Alright. Well in all seriousness I liked the Offspring before BR and I still like them both. What can you do? ;P

  • @Scary288

    hah.

    good find, man

  • @Scary288 Musical ideas get repeated all the time. They're both great songs.

  • Comment removed

  • are you aware that Shattered Faith is a band and that the image you show has to do with them and not the song?

  • @MarvinKurgan LoL man... you must be an old time punk rocker from SoCal, who else would remember that ;)

  • christians are bad people...

    my neighbors are christian

  • the new generation need to get rid of religion is this old fucks keeping it alive "its are generation and are world fuck those not for change"

  • Fantastic song.

  • honestly out of all their songs... i think this has the deepest and best meaning =)

  • god didnt create man, man created god

you cant outsmart/reason with crazy though so theres no chance of swaying the thoughts of a religious zealot

  • hahaha shattered faith is actually a band as well

  • fuck christ

    bunch of fucking hipocrit fags

  • This song was also released on an Epitaph sound sampler in 2002 or 2003.

  • CHRISTIANITY IS NOT PRACTICED HERE!!

  • 17 people have Shattered Faith and can't except it

  • 17 people are ignorant Christians.

  • Comment removed

  • One of the best Bad Religion Song. But wait, all songs of them are in a different way better. :D

  • @Datenkralle So it is the worst BR song?

  • "Life begins when you accept your fate." ....Truer words were never spoken. Well put Dr. Graffin.

  • @jb111082 I'm getting that fuckin' line tattoed on my arm!

  • @rbesco55 dude humans excited when dinosaurs were around and the earth is only a few thousand years old. What you say cant be true. The bible is 100% fact so it goes against everything you just said..... (sarcasm)

  • Goddamn this song is good!!!!!! I just discovered it today! How can this be a b-side?!?!?! are they out of their minds????!?!?

  • @the1andonlyMEGAJOSH

Well their b-sides are as good as their album tracks :)

  • @the1andonlyMEGAJOSH Right !? Freaking awesome :-D

  • @the1andonlyMEGAJOSH absolutely my favorite BR song. it was released on Punk-o-rama v. 2 or 4. I think. Been listening to it for years. A hidden treasure if you ask me.

  • @the1andonlyMEGAJOSH I know, this is my fave bad Religion song.

  • @the1andonlyMEGAJOSH

me too! totally agree with you, this song's great !!!

  • @the1andonlyMEGAJOSH I have a brother who's a BR fantic, and he has every B-side and rarity, fuck christmas was awesome when it showed up as "Fuck Christ..." on my car

  • @the1andonlyMEGAJOSH Bad Religion have the tendency to leave some of their best songs off the album. (The Fast Life, News From The Front, Who We Are,...) Someday they should put out a B-side collection.

  • @Jtb702 So true, their b-sides are unbelievable. But you know, they do have a b-sides collection. It's called "B-Sides and Rarities" and it has some good acoustic covers on there as well. Definitely something worth having.

  • @the1andonlyMEGAJOSH Actually any "B-Sides and Rarities" disc you might have is a bootleg, though they have enough material to fill probably 2 albums, they never put one out officially.. However, they a limited release of a 9 song B side compilation about the time of No Substance. It just came in a cardboard sleeve with a sticker on it. I think I bought mine with No Substance, but it might have been another album from that era.

  • BR's best besides You and News from the Front

  • Oh, I adore them. If I see 70, I'll still love Bad Religion. When they cease is a sad day for humanity indeed. I'm a metal fan, but this band won my heart. Punk-rock is just a word. Isn't there some myth about metal-punk rivalry? Screw that. I love these buggers' music and always, always will. They are fantastic. They're one o the few bands who have made me a rabid fangirl. Love always and forever <3

  • Which album is that off of? I own all their LPs, and a couple of B-sides but I never heard this one.

  • @XBlackFlagX It's a b-side from Process of Belief if I'm not mistaken. This one and Better Men which is also awesome. They were first released in America on Punk-o-Rama 8 I think.

  • my fav by them

  • This sounds alot like the Offspring's "The Kids aren't allright".

  • @mikes1962

Ha, that was my first thought, too! Nevertheless a good song.

  • @mikes1962 ok i usually dont comment on comments but.... WHAT? i dont see how they even resemble each other. Other then well they both kinda lean toward oppression. i like both songs but... WHAT?

  • @stridert2 i get what he means by it, certain portions of the song have the same tone and rhythm as this one, but this is way better

  • I would qualify as a Christian, but in the back of my mind I kinda wish that there's a different end to life than what ANY religion offers. Like a place afterwards that all the religious figures are chillin' and they're like "Yeah man, those people back on Earth are fighting over us still? Man they need to get with the program and chillax. Don't take life too seriously, cause you're ending up here no matter what."

That would be so awesome... So epically awesome that would be.

  • @SuperLAFWorld Or it'd be like a godocracy every god argues about their views on things.

  • @SuperLAFWorld "The end of the world will not come until the muslims fight the jews and christians and the muslims kill them" - Muhammed in the book of Hadith.

“The habitation of the Children of Israel during which they dwelled in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.” - Exodus 12:40. Exodus 6:18-20 contradicts these figures, and shows that God couldn't have helped write/preserve the truth of the old testament.

  • @SuperLAFWorld "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn "'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.' Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." - Matthew 10:34-37

    this is love thy neighbour?

  • @SuperLAFWorld God is above religions, but not above common sense, and goodwill towards men. Jesus was with the lowest of the low, the prostitutes and beggars. He exemplifies forgiveness and encouragement towards all man kind to abandon hate and live in harmony with reason. Religion teaches people to hate - God is the only source of love.

  • @rbesco55 youuuuu suuuuuck hahaha :P

  • @rbesco55 Dude,NO ONE sees ANYTHING you said as being right.

  • @rbesco55 humans havent been on earth for a few billion years. only 20,000 i believe (including neanderthals).

  • Sometimes i cant understand this world...

Why is this song a b-sides? A million bands would kill to be able to write a song like this one...

  • its not a rip off or homage. theres just kind of a limit as to what you can do over that chord progression which happens to be used in thousands of songs.

  • does anyone else think that this may have either been inspired by The Offsprings The kids arent alright? or borrows from it?

  • Comment removed

  • @2323jgrant @2323jgrant -- If I recall correctly, since both bands were on Epitaph records at the same time & both had recorded at around that same time they may have "borrowed" from each other, especially since one of the founding members of BR was also a founding & controlling member of Epitaph as well. Either way, they're both good songs... I like BR better though :

  • @themonkeyabides yeah thats what im feeling. i know they respect each other enough to not "rip-off" the offspring. it just seems like homage or something.

  • i was just reading through these comments and some of you really need to stop commenting on youtube and live up to what you say your going to do... o.o

  • What album is this song from?

  • @thiagobozo1980 was a bonus track on process of belief i think???

  • The Main problems with the bible is that it is out dated. Slavery is ok, killing people who dont believe in your religion, killing people who arnt virgins when they marry, among other things. How can any logical thinker read and follow that book with that stuff being oked in it

  • Greg needs to run for president. Swear to jebus.

  • Comment removed

  • @szoko173

i like the fact that this attack begins on my birthday. im in.

  • I dont think there really is a god...i believe in aliens

  • i hate how Christians take all this stuff to heart... like if u were to say "i dont believe in god" they get all offended and try to force u to believe in god ... for some reason they dont understand Christianity isn't for everyone...

  • @cheerios261 U know cheerios its not that they dont understand that, its that for someone who only has that to live for it becomes everything to them, their peace of mind, their life, their existence, of coarse they are willing to do anything to spread that peace, just look at the crusades

  • @cheerios261 i think that that is an unfair generalization. Im personally agnostic but just cause theres some crazy cristians out there doesn't mean that they're all like that. Most of my friends are christian and they don't give a fuck i dont believe. they respect my beliefs and i respect theirs. some of the nicest people i know are christian. also theres athiests who enforce their beliefs on people just as much as some christians do

  • @cheerios261 yeah, I had some Jehovah's Witnesses stop by my house and want to talk tp me about Jesus. Which was fine, but when I told them I was an Athiest they just kept it up, and it wasn't until I proved that I knew more about their Holy Bible than they did did they leave me alone.

  • @cheerios261 I'm a Christian and I don't force my religion on people who don't care for religion and/or choose to be atheist. Your choice in life, not mine.

  • @RandomYetEpic Need more people with that type of thinking good sir or madam haha

  • @putthisonmytab What's funny is I'm not a Christian anymore. lmao

  • @RandomYetEpic hahaha so may I ask what you would consider yourself? I'm an atheist.

  • @putthisonmytab Agnostic Atheist
