Only one gripe which I figure I'll get out of the way first and that's the Picatinny rail. It's just too anachronistic. I know it's alternate history, it's just that a Picatinny rail just doesn't jive with the vibe of that epoch. The armor is excellently designed, though, especially the skullmask portion of the helmet. It doesn't have that "angry eyes" look like a Cylon (the new ones) or like something out of Fallout. It looks properly retro. Almost more Russian than German.

Thats alot of pressure off the russkies for the war. And thats why they steam rolled their way back through poland after they surrounded the 6th army. Germans couldn't commit any new troops.

@spykegda Spy touch up on your history, the Americans were mainly fighting off Japan in the pacific, they only saw real german action in 1944 after the d-day landings. This was at the climax of 3 years of soviet pressure, the destruction of their eastern armies, and at a time when resources and manpower were in short supply, America came in and mopped up the remenants, once again... stealing the show.

Stalingrad wasn't even over till the end of January of the *next* year.

American military commitment went 50/50

@kafroflol Theres also the invasion of crete, and the whole british thing of blockading the greek isles, which made the germans send MASSIVE amounts of troops to defend against a "fake" invasion, all because the american navy assumed all british roll in the pacific.

Operation Baytown (invasion of mainland italy, spearheaded by the allies, with 40% of the estimated forces being american). Normady in '44 was one of the most ferocious campaigns during the war. Nearly half the troops were USA.

The concentrated on germany first / more directly. EVERY military paper says that germany was the bigger threat, and should be stopped first.

Even the USSR said that if the USA helped stop germany first, they would help with the japaneese in manchuria and korea (which they did, in one of the finest examples of a blitzkrieg in history, near the end of the war).

@kafroflol I'll admit that the contribution of the US in Europe wasnt as critical as some may make it(the USSR did 80% of the fighting and D-day was launched a year after the turning points at Stalingrad and Kursk) but when compared to any other power on the allied side the US contribution was significant. The US's nearly half million dead was more soldiers lost than any allied power other than the Soviets. Just cause the soviets did more fighting doesnt mean the US's contribution was negligeble
