let's make it fair...if you make a billion dollars you get taxed 95% over 100 million, if you make over 1 million you get taxed 75%, if you make between 250K and 1 million you get taxed 65%, if you make under 250K you get taxed oh say 30% and if you make under 100K, you get taxed 25%. "fair" is in trying to create a middle class...not trying to create a culture where the genius at manipulating markets and stealing peoples money indirectly can bask in the cash of their success. but you need to understand how investments work. sure the millionaires could afford to pay 100k more taxes which would be given to the poor so they can spend money.but dont forget that those 100kwould have been invested either in his own business (that made him all that money) or other investments.. and those investment than bring new jobs and so on.

I have met folks who have a system where the husband works while wifey-poo draws her check, then, when her benefits run out, she goes to work while he goes fishing. This sort of thing is more the rule than the exception in the area where I deliver. You and I may have enough work ethic not to do that, but alot of people don't

My 62 year old Mother-in-law has been avoiding taking a new job so she can keep collecting! She has plenty of money through her husbands UAW retirement benefits. Outstanding health care, pension, Social security ! I can't believe she would leave such debt for her grqndchildren. .
