@justliveandletlive thanks :) i know in my heart that she'll want me to keep living life and i'm going to keep on a goin. I know she'll always be there watchin out for me :)
@Daazbee thank you :) we're gonna spend whatever time she has left together, and i know i'm gonna make the most of it, but i'll always know she'll be there for me :)
:O ummm....I don't know if anyone else noticed, but he actually is doing this a half-step or two higher than his first performance in 1970. He's really just that good, I guess. :)
I'll soon be losing my younger sister, who is the closest person to me in my life. She is dying from cancer, and i've been listening to this song ever since i found out they wont be able to stop the cancer. When the day comes and she leaves this world, this song will be in my heart forever. Love You Alexandra!!
@TheCopperhead80 I don't have anything good to say really but I hope you pull through it and keep going on and that your last times together are wonderful.
Like many others, I lived this poetic song...especially the first line of someone taking Suzanne away, because I knew and loved a Suzanne whom everyone else crassly wrote off...she had one of the biggest hearts I've ever met...she was like a sunny day I thought would never end...& I always thought that I'd see her again.
I think this relaxed man doesn't get tired of singing this great song. It always brings a tear to my eye when I hear it, it brings back a sweet fragrance of memories from a time long past.
One year after Pan-Am flight 103 was blown out of the sky, every radio station in America played it as a tribute to those lost souls. 38 students from Syracuse University were on their way home for Christmas of 1988. And the bastard who was responsible was let out of prison claiming he was dying from cancer...yet to this day he still lives and those left behind have to deal with the loss every day of their lives. Even Qadaffi gave him a heroes welcome. I hope they burn in Hell for all eternity.
sends me back into the 70s and how a group of us friends, sitting around a fire, listening to James taylor...each in his/her own world of love and pain, sharing the music and a bond that held us together..never missed a chance to slip into the song Fire and Rain....any given time..even now I bet!
You know, I never really knew what this song was about, I thought it was just a man saying stupid words. But, I finally took some time and listened to it and It made me cry. It's truly a remarkable song. Love It!!
This song is dedicated to one of the most unique and awesome guy we ever knew. For you REGGIE BACA..........from GALLUP NM..........We will see you again!! God Bless you!!
boy i love this song.. every time i hear that first chord and how it has that slide, just brings the emotion out. You no you have written a good song when just about everybody can relate to it in some sort of way. Brings a tear to your eyes every once in a while to show how fortunate some of us are, and how other may not be. Brilliant song james taylor deserves all the recognition that he has had . =)
This song must have helped him through a very tough time in his life--you can feel his grief and loss. It's probably helped others get through a loss or a tough time on life's roadway. It's just that kind of a song. He sings it without being flamboyant--always liked that about James Taylor.

@TheCopperhead80 Sometimes you think that life is too painful to live.
But she will want you to try and have some sort of a life afterwards.
Tell yourself that you are living for her too now.
It may help you get over it a little.
Good luck.
