Jesus, I love this song, and watch the video over and over, but one of these days I'm gonna have a freaking seizure whilst watching this... So intense.
~
I saw this live in 2006 at the Palace in Louisville, KY and it was a game-changer. Just phenomenal.
: )
Many blessings upon Sigur Ros. Many blessings and infinite peaceful tidings...
it's crazy how people dont get sigur ros because they find them too light and sissy or whatever they say, but this is one of the most heaviest, deepest, darkest songs ever made!!
I pretty much worship Sigur Ros, and after watching their Untitled 8 closing in Reyjavik like a hundred times i made it my lifelong goal to see these guys live before i die. Well, i just saw Jonsi's "Go" tour show at the paramount in Denver a couple weeks ago. I will never be the same again. Life changing. Jonsi's Grow Till Tall live performance = Sigur Ros' Untitled 8 Popplagio live perfomance. They both mesmerize you to the point of pure euphoria that no drug can give you. Only the music.
I had the privilege to see Sigur Ros live 5 times here in Portugal...but the 2nd time was simple perfect (about 7 years ago in Coliseu dos Recreios)...and when they closed the concert with this music I cried and was emotionally extenuated...a unique experience!
I had the privilege to see Sigur Ros Live 5 times !!...1st time was in a small theater 10 years ago when they launched Ágætis byrjun, and in that time was trully amazing....but epic was the 2nd performance here in Portugal in Coliseu dos Recreios...a perfect theater for a perfect band, and what can I say...I cried in the end with this song and was emotionally extenuated.!
I'm not all that disappointed with the lack of enthusiasm in this crowd because, honestly, if i were given the pleasure of seeing this live in person i would most likely be too mesmerized to move...i'm not the biggest drug/concert enthusiast...but omg imagine tripping to this.
They closed with this at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, CA. I shit you not... it was drizzling the entire time they were playing this right up until 5:15... and at the EXACT same time the distortion kicked in there was this huge cloud burst and it began pouring rain. I've never had a religious experience before, but that was about as close as I've gotten. Crowd went absolutely insane.
I've found it in the official site of Sigur Rós, but I'm posting it here too since I don't know how many people have noticed it!
By the way you can reach the same page by entering their official site, then clicking on "Media", then "download videos" and finally you'll find the link at the end on this page! ;)

Got it. I was trying from my workplace, but now I checked it out from home it didn't make any trouble.
Do you remember that maybe a year ago you could see an entire 1 1/2 hour reykjavik concert on stream?
Now I can't find it anywhere...
LhisesII 3 years ago
Yes it was on stream, but with some programs I was able to download it!
I'll tell you more: this video is taken just from the last minutes of that show!
Now you can find it in the same link we were talking about, under the name "Sigur Rós - Live in Reykjavík 2005 (132 mins) SEEKABLE.wmv" ;)
