The first cause for concern that brings doubt on his legitimacy, is that he is Ex-Military.

1. Who is to say he was not perhaps brought under hypnosis.

2. Who is to say he is not still involved and a part of the mass dis-information program.

I did notice he didn't really give a real answer on many things, but we can assume that the only reason he didn't say is to protect the positive side in us. Like Pandora's box.
