i did not know you put sour cream in blue cheese i hate sour cream but i do like blue cheese maybe it because there are more powerful ingredients in blue cheese (:
@rachelbudd seriously.... don't even use a fat if you dont want to. Im not a health nut, I like to enjoy foods however they taste best, and when I make buffalo style chicken wings or strips, or whatever i just put plain ole' franks red hot on them. Its all you need!
For people like myself, who are allergic to blue cheese (it's the same mold allergy which makes some people allergic to pennicillan), you can substitute fetta cheese.
I like sheep's-milk fetta, best; but goat's-milk fetta is also great.
I like extra lumps, so I add a few after the blending. Please come to California and teach me Algebra. . .my tutor ran away screaming. . .and you're soooo much cuter than him anyway.
Years ago I bought a single portion of Blue Cheese, I didn't like it (like eating mold....yeuk!) so I have never tried Blue Cheese again and I was put off ever trying the dressing but your recipe look very nice so I might make a very small portion of it to try with the family and myself.
Our taste buds change over time so it always worth trying something again.

My sons have a favorite catfish recipe: Take either blue cheese or ranch dressing, spread generously over the catfish fillet, put on an oiled foil lined baking pan and bake...... just another use for your great dressing recipe. (And, once again, so much more affordable and healthy! Hurray Betty!)

I will be showing your that trip later on, and making some bourbon treats. You won't believe how much trouble I had putting the red wax on my bottles of whisky! But it was fun! It's hard to find a good bleu cheese in a bottle, especially one which uses fine quality imported fromunda cheeses.
