I love boychuk but that should have been a penalty. But in close up videos you can tell he was trying to slow down. And I know boychuk doesn't try to hurt people. But he was In a vulnerable position but it looked liked Raymond touched it withhis stick.
the reffing in this series was terrible. I mean there was a lot going on, but both the Bruins and Canucks got away with way too much. I know in the playoffs refs just want to let the play carry on, but you have to be a ref out there and punish players for dirty plays (which both of these hits were).
Rome's hit clearly had intent to injure with targeting the head, something the league is trying to get rid of. He could have leveled Horton in the chest or waist, but he went high and thats why he got suspended. Buychuk's hit is simply a fluke. Both guys sped toward the puck and got tangled, their momentum carried them into the wall. Its one of those freak things, it possibly deserved an interference call, but comparing those two hits is apples and oranges really.
@B77C77 are you kidding me ? intent to injure? you must be from boston cause they are clearly teh most retarded fans in the NHL , Rome hit was a head shot yes but teh season that just passed it wasnt a rule to hit the head as long as its not from the blind side, he came from rite infront of him, it was deserving of a suspension hell no , shure it was a little late and he could of avoided it but lets here wat boston commmentators said about boychucks hit
