  • che meraviglia.... thank you for uploading it!!!

  • Credo che Gesù amasse tutt'altro "genere" ....in generale.... ;)

  • My previous comment appeared to be much harsher than I intended it to be - I think. And I should have said Passenger Train rather than Freight Train. I have no problem with consistency and continuity - century after century. I also have no problem with authority and hierarchy. Large groups of people cooperating with each other is a good thing - as is glory, grandeur, reverence, and awe. But dishonesty, corruption, coercion, violence, persecution, and arrogance seem to accompany absolute power.

  • @redletterchurch I often think that while God and religion is very serious since its about the salvation of our souls, sometimes we take it too seriously. We, each of us, live in one place, time and lifetime. I as a human being can only be morally and spiritually responsible for myself and then try to pass on that responsibility in the form of serving my faith. But life is for living: we got to get out there and enjoy it. You'll be a long time dead, even if your in heaven!! ;-)

  • @pipeup1 I agree. It's hard for me to find the proper balance. I think I'm congenitally unbalanced. Sometimes I don't think I want a solution - and that I just want to complain! Watch 'Pale Blue Dot' here on YouTube. It's by Carl Sagan - and puts things into a proper perspective. I suspect that even if the church and the world were transformed into my idealistic vision - I would still find something to complain about. Dissatisfaction seems to be an incurable human trait.

  • God bless the christians!

  • What is that you cannot understand my friend?

  • I am torn! I love cathedrals, sacred music, robes, incense, processions, and theology. However...when I look beneath the surface of it all...throughout history...I don't like what I see. O wretched man that I am. Who shall deliver me from the contradictions and absurdities? It only hurts when I think. Is there something different about French Roman Catholicism? My favorite RC churches and sacred musicians are French! I'm not RC...but I watch with interest from a distance.

  • @redletterchurch It is a problem. I'm Church of England yet the dramatic soundscape of the Catholic church specifically in France is appealing. I put it down to the dramatic sound of the Grand Organ roaring down the nave......

  • @ds1868 this is not Catholic music of the French country, this is Catholic Music of the entire world. This was developed from the music of the early church in the catacombs.

  • @redletterchurch the great cathedral, the music, robes, incense and ritual is only a manifestation of a greater and deeper reality. This is the ancient church, the living Pentecost moves in this assembly. But the Eucharist is the source and summit. Cross the threshold, enter in and look. Your existence in this world will never be the same!!

  • @pipeup1 What part does ancient Babylon, Egypt, and Rome play in all of this? What part do the Teachings of Jesus play in all of this? What part does the Goddess play in all of this? I'm wondering if the esoteric and exoteric are becoming one and the same? Ancient Gods, Goddesses, Art, and Architecture are seen throughout the world in churches and government buildings. This seems to imply a worlwide theocracy in which the Jesus of the Gospels plays a very small part. I am conflicted!

  • @redletterchurch Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life, no one can come to the Father except through me. The ritual of the church is the culmination and development of all the Jewish and Roman ritual and Deistic worship that has gone before. Jesus Christ is the end point of all the forms of belief that have gone before - thats what Christians believe. So the Gospels and encountering Christ in the Eucharist plays a central part!! This is far too big for a box on youtube lol

  • @pipeup1 Thank-you for your response. I agree that this subject cannot be properly addressed in a YouTube comment box! I'm just seeing a big Babylonian/Egyptian/Roman Freight-Train - travelling through history at 150KPH - with a Goddess Engineer/Conductor - slamming into Jesus Christ - who ends up as a Crucifix Hood Ornament. I'm trying to envision an idealistic version of the church - which is completely honest regarding history - which is our history - and not just an organization's history.

  • Where is the rest of the recording? We need the rest of the chamades blazing down the nave............

  • Do you have the rest of the recording??

  • Te Deum... with "Benedict"??!?!

    .. is He your fellow? do you go out with Him on saturday night or what..????

    "Te Deum at the presence of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI!.."

  • beautiful Te Deum......

  • who is the arranger of this piece? Please I am desperate to do this version with my choir!

    Thank you

  • Pardon me, it was this Organ, plus the choir of this cathedral of that year, plus the sems of the SSPX in Econe singing along to it.

  • They played a recording of this Choir and Organ at the SSPX Ordinations of 1987 in Econe (its on youtube).

  • Why did the recording cut off so abruptly? A very bad thing to happen. You can't just stop music. It needs to end. Entire recording is invalid.

  • O Lord, save thy people : and bless thine heritage.

    Govern them : and lift them up for ever.

    Day by day : we magnify thee;

    And we worship thy Name : ever world without end.

    Vouchsafe, O Lord : to keep us this day without sin.

    O Lord, have mercy upon us : have mercy upon us.

    O Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us : as our trust is in thee.

    O Lord, in thee have I trusted : let me never be confounded.

  • When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man : thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb.

    When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death : thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers.

    Thou sittest at the right hand of God : in the glory of the Father.

    We believe that thou shalt come : to be our Judge.

    We therefore pray thee, help thy servants : whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious blood.

    Make them to be numbered with thy Saints : in glory everlasting.

  • The glorious company of the Apostles : praise thee.

    The goodly fellowship of the Prophets : praise thee.

    The noble army of Martyrs : praise thee.

    The holy Church throughout all the world : doth acknowledge thee;

    The Father : of an infinite Majesty;

    Thine honourable, true : and only Son;

    Also the Holy Ghost : the Comforter.

    Thou art the King of Glory : O Christ.

    Thou art the everlasting Son : of the Father.

  • We praise thee, O God : we acknowledge thee to be the Lord.

    All the earth doth worship thee : the Father everlasting.

    To thee all Angels cry aloud : the Heavens, and all the Powers therein.

    To thee Cherubim and Seraphim : continually do cry,

    Holy, Holy, Holy : Lord God of Sabaoth;

    Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty : of thy glory.

  • organ is nice when the choir sings, but too messy when the congregation sings.. can't distinguish the chords to follow it

  • Praise the LORD!

  • It must have been Jean-Pierre Leguay playing the Sortie! :-) Great !! Thanks for posting

  • Sounds like Jean-Pierre Leguay playing the Sortie at the end. 5 Stars!!!

  • Qui accompagne et joue au grand orgue?

  • Merci ! c'est magnifique,gloire à toi seigneur Jesus.
