It can be incredibly easy if you just set the difficulty to the lowest setting. Basically, you get a set of stages to fight through . What stages you get depend on the character you pick.

Yeah, easy was too simple that I always play on hard now. When it gets to levels like Wu Zhang Plains, the comrades are useless.
