The beats audio works even if you dont use the beats headphones like aux cord and it makes a big difference and its fast as shit. Nice to see that the samsung galaxy nexus is going to be sold on Verizon for $199 unlike the HTC Rezound and Motorola DROID RAZR that are being sold for $300.So this means that even Verizon feels that the HTC Rezound and Motorola DROID RAZR are both higher end phones The GN has a Poorer quality camera a slower CPU [VS THE HTC Rezound] and no removable memory. both the Razr and Rezound are both better phones vs the overrated galaxy nexus.

beat.. marketing scam?... technically isn't, but the droid razr is a bigger scam. its advertised at qhd 540 x 960 which but pentile matrix equation truly is 2/3 of the true resolution so its actually 640 x 360. also the one that gets every one... the "transition effect". timed the rezound actually pulled up the app drawer quicker, but the razr had a two stage transition. 1 fade to black, 2 fly in, simulating speed. Beats does what it says, adjust the eq to bring best out the best sound
Both are gorgeous screens. I checked out both the other day and the penlite is honestly not easily recognizable on the Razr. Razr has better, deeper colors and is better for watching movies!!! Rezounds screen tends to wash out easily and Razr has better much viewing angles...Rezound screen is however the best on the market for web browsing and text is sooo crisp! Its unbelievably refined! both kick the crap outta the 4s lol...4s doesnt compare
Even the droid razr looks thinner than the galaxy s2, the s2 has a removable battery. But i prefer the rezound beacause of the fast 1.6ghz processor. Go HTC!!
@hockeeplayer194 Its not the Snapdragon thats slow, its Sense. My T-Mobile Galaxy S2 with the exact same processor as the Rezound pulls down at least 3200 on Quandrant and frame rates on Nenamark are limited only by the 60fps software cap. Also WP7 seems to runs just beautifully with just singlecore Snapdragons. Its Sense, plain and simple.
@Tzone04 quadrant scores don't really mean that much because I have seen where the phone that scored less still beat the phone with higher scores and I have yet to have my Rezound lag.
i was a iPhone user since the 3G and I got the htc inspire when it came out, and now i have the GS2. I find it hard to type on android's keyboard i've tried just about all the keyboards in the market and none of them are good has the iPhones. Is any body else like this?
i disagree on processor... the rezound's is actually more powerful... look at the samsung gs2 on tmobile using the same processor... yes sense loads it down, and i love sense but this processor still beats the omap actually...
I disagree with the declaration of better display on the Rezound. The Droid Razr has plenty of enough pixels to satisfy those who are looking for high-res screens and also has Super AMOLED. However, the display on the Rezound looks like a regular old LCD. The difference between that and say an EVO 3D is hardly noticeable if at all. I'm not buying into this hi-res screen rave. It's cool and all, but it's the last thing on my mind when considering a phone. Literally.

@Duschmon7 Look at all 3 side by side both the HTC Rezound amd DROID RAZR blow the Galaxy Nexus away as far as Phone specs I mean really not saying that the GN is going to be a bad phone but really if I went with the GN I would have had to downgrade my hardware for real and when fans of the GN make excuses as to why they feel the GN is better I will still have a faster processor and a higher quality camera and removable memory. ICS 4.0 is coming to both of these phone early next year 2012.

Nope the Galaxy Nexus is a very over rated device just look at all 3 phones side by side and compare the specs of each device both the RAZR and Rezound have better specs vs the GN. The only thing that is missing from both the RAZR and Rezound is ICS 4.0 but both the RAZR and Rezound are both getting it. The fact is that if I went with the GN I would have had to downgrade my hardware so I am more then willing to wait for ice cream sandwich .
Here is something else that many people seem to forget Verizon recommends that you take your battery out of your phone at least once a week and what if you want to get a extended life battery? the RAZR not having a replacement battery is going to be a issue in more ways then one however it still would be my second pick,
Both are great phones but the DROID RAZR has no removable battery the HTC Rezound wins this fight for that fact alone. You mention screen types in your reviews and dogfights, but don't go into detail about them. Even the droid razr looks thinner than the galaxy s2, the s2 has a removable battery. But i prefer the rezound beacause of the fast 1.6ghz processor. Go HTC!!

@hockeeplayer194 Its not the Snapdragon thats slow, its Sense. My T-Mobile Galaxy S2 with the exact same processor as the Rezound pulls down at least 3200 on Quandrant and frame rates on Nenamark are limited only by the 60fps software cap. Also WP7 seems to runs just beautifully with just singlecore Snapdragons. Its Sense, plain and simple.

@Tzone04 quadrant scores don't really mean that much because I have seen where the phone that scored less still beat the phone with higher scores and I have yet to have my Rezound lag.

i was a iPhone user since the 3G and I got the htc inspire when it came out, and now i have the GS2. I find it hard to type on android's keyboard i've tried just about all the keyboards in the market and none of them are good has the iPhones. Is any body else like this?

i disagree on processor... the rezound's is actually more powerful... look at the samsung gs2 on tmobile using the same processor... yes sense loads it down, and i love sense but this processor still beats the omap actually...

I disagree with the declaration of better display on the Rezound. The Droid Razr has plenty of enough pixels to satisfy those who are looking for high-res screens and also has Super AMOLED. However, the display on the Rezound looks like a regular old LCD. The difference between that and say an EVO 3D is hardly noticeable if at all. I'm not buying into this hi-res screen rave. It's cool and all, but it's the last thing on my mind when considering a phone. Literally.

@Duschmon7 Look at all 3 side by side both the HTC Rezound amd DROID RAZR blow the Galaxy Nexus away as far as Phone specs I mean really not saying that the GN is going to be a bad phone but really if I went with the GN I would have had to downgrade my hardware for real and when fans of the GN make excuses as to why they feel the GN is better I will still have a faster processor and a higher quality camera and removable memory. ICS 4.0 is coming to both of these phone early next year 2012.

Nope the Galaxy Nexus is a very over rated device just look at all 3 phones side by side and compare the specs of each device both the RAZR and Rezound have better specs vs the GN. The only thing that is missing from both the RAZR and Rezound is ICS 4.0 but both the RAZR and Rezound are both getting it. The fact is that if I went with the GN I would have had to downgrade my hardware so I am more then willing to wait for ice cream sandwich .

Here is something else that many people seem to forget Verizon recommends that you take your battery out of your phone at least once a week and what if you want to get a extended life battery? the RAZR not having a replacement battery is going to be a issue in more ways then one however it still would be my second pick,

I think I would rather have the HTC Rezound... The Rezound can do simultaneous data and voice on 3g. The razr can't do that on 3g.

Both are great phones but the DROID RAZR has no removable battery the HTC Rezound wins this fight for that fact alone. Phonedog was SO MUCH BETTER when Noah was their they need to get him back phonedog is only good when sydney does reviews she is the only none biased person that still works at phonedog and she is the ONLY person worth watching anymore. Phonedog please bring Noah back

Hi Aaron. Thanks for all your work. I really appreciate the videos. I would love to see a video detailing different screen type technologies and pros and cons of each. You mention screen types in your reviews and dogfights, but don't go into detail about them. I think a lot of people could benefit from a video comparing, for example, super lcd and AMOLED and explaining exactly what pentile is. Thanks.

Why is EVERY single comment about his weight loss? He's looked like that for the past few months now. And it's not like he was a major fatty before, either.
As for the phones, aside from GS2, I wouldn't get any other non-ICS phone. They all have lag issues and their browsers pale in comparison to both the GS2 and Nexus.
