I don't think any of the people recording and arranging all these 'canons' actually know what a canon is. The whole point of the piece of music is the overlapping, contrapuntal melodies. Without this harmonic device, the music is not in fact a canon. It is more of a 'rock jam' on a theme by Pachelbell. The texture is no longer polyphonic and mesmorizing, but thin and artificial sounding.

Some of this guy's string bends are out of tune also.
