I want a Shiba inu. Alot of people get them cause they are cute. Which they are very much so. But they are a very stubborn dog. Like a cat if you will. But as Long as you show the Shiba that you are king of the house. You should have no problem training it. In other words don't be a push over. Your dog is very well trained. Congrats :)
This is a really funny video. Our dog (he's not a Shibu) does the same thing, but only with violin, not clarinet, interestingly. We talked to someone we know who's an animal behavior specialist and she said some dogs do this as a way of joining in, basically singing along.

Does your Shiba have a favorite composer? My Shiba loves Beethoven and Andrew Lloyd Webber, but he scratches up my legs if I play Bach. It's pretty funny.

Well. I have both a Shiba and a Akita at home as pet for years. At this moment i have both of them Akita 3 years old and the Shiba is only 10 month both bitches.
And i have dogs at home since before i was born and i am now nearly 70.
@ARandomDaydreamer Actually its not a breed thing to be vocal. Each dog is different. Sure they scream if their in pain...any dog would. But not every Shiba talks daily. Our Shiba almost never talks unless we're teasing her with food. And only then because she knows she'll get it. As a puppy I had to teach her to bark. So it depends on the dog really. And not to get all arguementive but most the Shibas I've met at meet ups are very quiet.
If my shiba heard that noise he would cock his head and be like "what the hell??" lol my shiba is quite the quiet one really but its VERY curious about noises, a lot of loud sharp noises scare him more then entertain him tho
