why doesn't my 93 make that sound between shifts!!! it pisses me off. i put on a 12cm housing and wired the wastegate shut and it has a 3" straight exhaust.
Does your truck have an upgraded intake or anything? mines all stock.
i know the hx35 is a little noisier than the h1c but come one my turbo is silent
@91CTD I;ve got a k&n air filter which opens it up a little and lets moree sound out through the intake. My hx35's wastegate is disconnected which allows me to build just a hair above 35 psi which is where I'd like it. With a straight pipe u should be able to hear it whistling and barking when ur under boost and suddenlly let off the go go peddle.
@Trex600Pilot I had to buy a pickup unit from isspro to hook into the tach. If my original crank sensor was working right I would just plug it in under the dash to the factroy wiring harness.
@cumminsdiesel1234567 I think Diesel Powers Project rust bucket checked in somewhere around 800lb-ft when they were at the 300-350hp level, but they run nitrous so who knows.
Saw an amazingly clean 93 W250 on ebay that looked as though it just rolled out of the dealers show room not to long ago, but it was in Oregon...ahh..
The thing was a god send when I went out to Los Angeles a few weeks ago! Even routed me around traffic (as much as possible in SoCal) and through some sick canyon drives!
she sounds like a non intercooled for some reason. it being a 92 should be intercooled lol

This inspired me to get rid of my 18.5 and get a 12cm for sure.

Sick vid!! More please! Love this truck,
1st. gen Cummins are awesome! I really want to find a clean one.
Ever dyno it? How much power you think your making? 300-400hp range? How about torque? 800lb-ft ish?

Yeah, a clean one would be nice to find. No dyno yet, I'm guessing around 275-300 hp. Not sure on the torque.

10-4 on Project rust bucket. Yeah that is a dream of mine to find a perfect first gen but, imagine the price tag on it.

@cumminsdiesel1234567 Ya the truck I saw on ebay was ridiculously clean. It had a "buy it now" price of $11K! I think it sold for $5-7K.
I really want a 2010 Ram 3500 dually laramie, but thats like $55K!

@cumminsdiesel1234567 Oh ya, was that a GPS unit on your steering column?

Yep, a Garmin Nuvi 255.

10-4 on that. I would love to take my old dodge out there in the mountains with the guidance of the old garmin.

With the 5-speed Gertrag the caynons and cost highway would be a blast! Rush hour traffic would be a bitch though..
