The Government has become to big to sustain itself financially. Think of it this way. The progressive democrats (which are actually Liberal fascists) want to enslave America with all this Global Ponzi scheme taxes and eliminate the middle class. John has made some very interesting points on fiscal accountability. Piglosi needs to go.

@HogRebel - Mr. Dennis is NOT leading the polls in that district. Pelosi is polling at over 60%! Mr Dennis is leading in the PRIMARY, which is against another Republican. The anti-incumbent attitude will affect both parties - and I don't forsee the Senate majority changing. The House is another story, but I am reasonably confident that it will be nearly even, with a slight Democratic advantage.

@guitarfreakstyle2 - You can certainly disagree all you want, but that doesn't make you right. That 'same' Republican controlled Congress was in power for 6 of Bush's 8 years....so they are responsible for keeping Clinton in check, but not Bush? Get Real!

BTW, Congressional consideration of the federal budget begins once the President of the United States submits a budget request. He/she is ultimately the one who has been called to answer for it, and fairly so.

@davidfflick  Follow the money and you will see that most of the votes were almost completely Bipartisan. Even if the Repubs controlled the congress, Most of the Dems didn't grow a backbone and vote against any of it.

Take a look at the facts, and you'll see spending rise under Reps while receipts decline. It took Clinton 6 years to fix the mess that 12 years of 'conservative' leadership brought us. It will take that long or perhaps longer to save us from Bush. Go back further, and you'll see that the last Democrat to increase spending drastically was FDR, and that was ALSO in response to a widespread financial crisis. You'll have to do more than just smoke and mirrors!

I disagree. Democrats have never maintained fiscal accountability. The only Democrat that had fiscal accountability was JFK. He opposed sending troops to Vietnam. Spoke against the Korean war. It took Eisenhower almost 8 years to recoup the country after Truman out of control spending. FDR's Social Security almost killed the country at first and to this day never had surplus. Only reason clinton Maintained a fiscal control of the economy was due to a republican controlled house and congress.

@glennmonson Actually in 1951 during the Korean war Truman sent troops to Vietnam. At that time the French occupied Vietnam which was known as Indochina couldn't control the uprising of the Communist growth. JFK did send more troops under pressure from the the warmongering congress but realized he didn't want to oppress the country in more deep debt. Which is why he signed Executive order #11110 to return to the U.S. government the power to issue currency, without going through the FED.

Nope- Pelosi isn't responsible for the soaring debt, Bush is. He ruined a growing economy and spent trillions of money we don't have to fight undeclared war. This may fly in Idaho, but Californians are smarter than that. Pelosi is representing her district in the way that a majority of voters approve of. Framing a race on the purported failures of an opponent only works when you have a message. Oh, wait, you do have one: "I'm not Nancy Pelosi". Sorry, buddy, no seat in the house for you.

Almost 3 trillion of Bailout money and stimulus and NO NEW JOBS were created except the Unions jobs that got new government contracts. No New Private sector jobs were created with Obama.
