  • Awesome work :)

Is the primary really 10x? not 5+5?

  • @WillstDuNichtWissen: It's 5+5, or 10 turns total with a center tap.

  • windings?

  • I like your style of design.

  • nice!!!!!

  • hmm so what did you use to insulate the secondary? it looks like some sort of plastic film.

  • @MrGerbilBrain: It's 3m heavy duty packaging tape. About 4 layers of it per every layer of windings. For this secondary I used 2 inch wide tape, but some office supply stores sell 3 inch wide stuff for repairing book bindings. Seems to work good, over head projector transparencies I've also heard work good.

  • hi very nice, do you have the schematic please

  • @hbycoily: Google "ZVS Flyback Driver", go to images, you'll find many links to the schematic.

  • i dare you to stick your tongue on it! XD

  • When you can make that work in my vector-scan Tempest monitor...then I'll be impressed.

  • Hello!

    VERY VERY NICE!

  • @megges23: Thanks!

  • WHOA! So jealous, awesome video and flyback!!!!!!

  • Mmmm, Zesty! << (random)

Your secondary seems to preform well, I cant wait until I make one of my own.

  • why buy a NST for a tesla coil when you have this

    Amazing!!

  • @08Kutt: Thanks!

  • @08Kutt because NST is stronger...

  • @Dri0m depends of the NST... ;)

the advantage of the nst is because its difficult to damage.. and dont get so warm
