Does your ps3 and computer need an internet connection at the same time to activate the disc?

No. The computer needs the Internet only when you are activating. The PS3 doesn't need the Internet to be activated, but needs the Internet to watch movies off of the disc.

Once it's activated, you don't need the computer. The Netflix disc streams the movies from it's server to your PS3. You don't actually get movies on to the disc. You just watch them.

You have to keep the disc. You put the disc in whenever you want to watch something and you take it out when you want to put in a game and play that. The disc is yours to keep.

The Netflix disc only streams video in 720p, but your PS3 and TV should still be at 1080p.

I don't know if they have it over there in England, but it is a service that you pay a certain amount a month for and you can rent any amount of DVDs at any time and keep them as long as you want. Then, you just put them back in the mail and your next one is shipped to you. This is a thing for the PlayStation 3 that allows you to watch free movies with the one disc.
