gonna take a minute to say THANKS for your overwhelmingly positive feedbacks. let me stress again, that my participation in creating this track was very small. it took me a few hours on a otherwise boring afternoon whereas the composers and musicians of the original music spend many days, weeks, months even to produce the building blocks for this little piece of fan "art". and know, let us pray to the gods so that ME:3 may arrive shortly and in unimaginable glory and epicness :)
@heriatac I'm sorry I don't recall. I found it after an extensive google search, but I can't locate it if I do a search now. And I don't have the original image anymore :-\
Im sorry if i offended you, but the original score has a very special place in my heart. Im not sure what you meant about food though......are you talking about my tomatos in my comments on the original track?? :) Have to admit though that i liked it from 3,30 and outwards. Especially the violin! Let us all hope that ME3 beats it all!
@Spitfirerulzyou HAHAHA I love taking shits! this one time on cod, I took a less than 1 minute dump It was in the lobby and I got back before the next game started. it took only one wipe and it shot out like a rocket. perfect definiton of a perfect poo. O and sorry if this is disturbing I needed to express myself somehow and this was the perfect opertunity
Yes, it isnt such epic as original, but i can imagine it playing in the duel with Human Reaper, and then, when escaping the station turn to original version. whathever, great job anyway!
It lacks a bit of the "loud" and the "heroic" of the original piece, but that lack is about the size of the our moon compared to the galaxy - so, well done.
@190shepard The original sounded a lot like Doctor Who series 5's theme. I don't know which came first, but I'm sure it's a total coincidence. It still weirded me out every time I heard it on Doctor Who. I even tried playing the two tracks at the same time. They fit very well, and after a few seconds I could barely tell which was which.
@TheUltimateMEH Both Mass Effect 2 and Series 5 were 2010, right? The similarities between the two tracks are way too perfect to be intentional. It's just a crazy coincidence. Like that the plot of Mass Effect is practically a rewrite of the show Babylon 5. The similarities make my head spin every time I see either now, but it's a total coincidence aside from maybe a small inspiration to the ME writers. The Shadows and the Reapers and the way races interact are so alike though...
@1upD B5 was a good 90s show, and I can see some influences, but the Reapers are based upon Lovecraftian monsters written a century ago, and there is no flipside to them (the way the Vogons are a counter to the shadows in B5). Their nature and motivations are also utterly different. ME grabs multiple references from almost every good sci fi ever made, which would turn your sentence equally correct if you said "this is SW based" or "this is ST!!" or "This is Valerian all over again", etc, etc.
@LuisManuelLealDias Oh no, I must sound like one of THOSE people. xD I really didn't articulate my point very well. To me, Mass Effect most resembles Babylon 5, but that doesn't mean I can assume that the writers 'were inspired' by it. You got me with the Lovecraft inspiration. I thought other aspects of the Reapers reminded me of the Shadows. In particular, the season three episode that revealed the nature of the Shadow ships reminded me a lot of plot twists in both ME games.
wow great remix. Even better than the actual soundtrack
